Powerful suction. Blower is good too, however, do not expect it to be similar to the blowers that carwash service centres have. It is sufficient for most household purposes. **Be aware that the WD 5 is a large capacity (25 litre) vacuum and might not suit smaller households that have smaller floor area** (Imagine it being similar to standard plastic bathroom buckets, but a little taller, wider and heavier) I cannot ever imagine filling up the canister, in any one cleaning session, for our large independent 2-floor house. Has enough capacity to last months for most normal indoor cleaning jobs. - Would have been more helpful if the provided cord was longer in length. - One of the drawbacks is the lack of brushes/nozzles supplied with the original purchase. Would have to invest in more brushes/nozzles to expand the utility of the vacuum. The standard flexi-pipe hose is of decent length (3.5m/8ft) and can suit most ground/window cleaning situations, however, it would be really stretching it for cleaning the ceiling (without the extension tube attached). Would need a longer flexi-pipe for cleaning ceiling fans etc. Given that it's 1100 watts the unit does get hot, so if you are in non-AC rooms, it can get stuffy during the cleaning process. We have polished stone floors, so the Karcher rolls smoothly in-and-out of rooms. The filter cleaning function and ease of removing the filter from the unit is very well designed. I bought the WD5 mainly for its power and filter system. Very impressed with the design on this unit, simple, yet very effective and powerful. I got the unit for INR13069 (shipping to Visakhapatnam included). Though it's been only two weeks since I got it I am giving 5 stars because of the overall built quality. I have used a Dyson (very popular in the US) and other equivalent vacuum cleaners in the past, and the suction on the Karcher WD-5 is just superior to all the past ones I have ever used.

This is my first week review on this item, I’d try to update more after some use (in couple of weeks). Karcher WD5, this is one of the powerful vacuum cleaner I have witnessed/experienced. I was very doubtful before purchasing this vacuum cleaner as it was new brand for our Indians, but my doubt was cleared once I checked the same item reviews and performance on other websites and also on Amazon.com (US site). I should say that the vacuum cleaner is so powerful that it sucks all the dust just in seconds and that too it does it work so neatly. I used it on the same day it was delivered, and do not worry about assembling the parts – it is very easy to install and use if you follow the user manual. I also called the Karcher support team, we can google to get the city-wise details, Karcher support team was very helpful and ready to help me with the installation; though I didn’t need their help in installation – it is user friendly. We get a very limited accessories with this product, but you can easily get the other required accessories her on Amazon. Karcher has a great powerful motor that it sucks minute part of dust particles. I used it for 30-45 minutes non-stop, I’m sure we can use it for a longer time as well. It is very easy to clean and maintain. I didn’t get a chance to use the wet vacuum yet. The wire and the suction pipe provided with it can reach every corner of your house. I suggest you to go ahead with this vacuum cleaner and I assure you will not regret such a great gift to your mom/spouse. It is one of the best vacuum cleaner I have seen comparatively to the other brands available in India. Just go ahead and purchase it, you will love it.

This is a wonderful vacuum cleaner. The suction power is amazing. I earlier used Eureka forbes vacuum cleaner. Now I realize the real power of vacuum cleaner. If you use vacuum cleaner regularly for cleaning the house,you will not go wrong in buying it. pros. Low power consumption and very high suction. it sucks everything even after 4 months of continuous usage. The bag is very huge that you will need only one bag in an year. We can use it without airbag if you want to such large quantities of dust and sand. Though I have not tried it. Low cost additional accessory available from Rodak company. Stopped working after couple of years. Sent to authorized service center and after much delay managed to replace the power cord. It worked for a month or so before failing to start again. Service network is very poor for Karcher so, all good until it needs service which is non-existent / unpredictable.

We are family who believe in perfection. Hence we never kept a maid as they were below par our expectations. Therefore we ourselves were cleaning and mopping on an alternate day basis. All was good when we thought our cleaning was decent and nothing would beat it, until karcher MV 5 proved us wrong. The amount of dust sucked out left us flabbergasted (we had used the wet mode). The machine has a robust suctioning power of 1800w, it just consumes electricity of just 1100w. The plastic material of superior quality and feels premium. Only 1 drawback is that it's noisy, but not to the extent of damaging your tympanic membrane (haha). Although it's time consuming for the wet mode it well worth the effort (took nearly 3 hours for a duplex ~4000sqft - including every bit of corner), however dry mode took just an hour for our duplex. The floor feels so clean, that I keep dragging my feet on the floor all time. Hence I ve decided to do just use the dry mode and for wet mopping I'm planning to purchase the Karcher steam cleaner. We had also seen a demo from eureka Forbes euroclean, however their product is way below Karcher, including the suction power and cheap plastic quality and not mention their poor after sales service. If anyone wants a perfect clean home this is the product.

The machine is good. However post sales service is horrible. I made a complaint in July-2021 which has still not been addressed. The service technician who visited the 1st time did not re-assemble the machine properly. Since then I have called the service helpline 4 times - however no technician has visited till date. the helpline promises callback in 2 hours but that does not happen.

My quest for a good vacuum cleaner started as i was really unhappy with the shady work of my maid. I was evaluating Eureka Forbes initially as its being used in my parents house for the last 20 years and it's still working well. It was their initially launched model and was of really good quality and its still working with regular use. But we really struggle to buy its dust bags. Their service folks are hopeless. So, after a lot of research and asking questions here at amazon, I finally bought this product Karcher WD5/MV5 1100-Watt. Packaging was safe and sturdy. Lot of folks have written about the contents so, I will skip this part. Coming to the performance of the product. It's suction capacity is too good. It sucks up all the dust, hair and literally anything from the floor. It does makes noise but its really not too much. I have vitrified tiles in my home and this vacuum cleaner works so well on it. Plastic is really sturdy and its really easy to use. Size of the machine is not too big. On alternate days i mop the floor with Magic spin mop with wheels which i had bought from amazon over an year ago. (Another recommended product its actually best spin mop ever). Result if squeaky clean home and shining floor. I love it :) This product is a must buy for all Indian households.

Great vacuum cleaner. Bought it for Rs.13,000/- on deal. Been using it for about 10 months. Power is great. Blower works great too. Quite noisy and feels a little heavy while using it but expected. Comes with one single bag enough for a household for a few months maybe even a year or so. Wish it had an auto wire winder which has to be done manually right now, little tedious. The accessory holder is a great design and very functional. The rollers work great. Finally, one big con is if you use the flat floor accessory, the brushes on them catch a lot of dust which then have to removed by hand once in a while. Hate that but not a big issue.
