About Seiko In 1877, at the age of 18, Kintaro Hattori set up business repairing the Western-style clocks that were becoming increasingly popular in Japan. By 1892, Hattori was manufacturing his own clocks in a factory he called Seikosha, from the words "seiko" meaning "exquisite," "success," or "miniature," and "sha" meaning "house." The company grew and prospered, producing its first wristwatch in 1913 and launching the Seiko brand in 1924. Technological innovation has always been a driving force in the company's history. Stately accurate watch
I am very happy with this watch. It has a very simple white face, with blue hands that just look so great. It keeps time we'll. As it spends most of its time in a watch box I wind it each evening and see that it is keeping time. So if it is out it's literally a few seconds a day. The bracelet gets a bad rap, and I tend to not agree. Yes there are no doubt better bracelets out there but I find this suits the watch and one I had a couple of links taken out so it fits properly, it's very stylish. I have 3 white faced Seiko's, and this would be my favourite. Definitely a dress watch.
