Nice product
Quality product by hawkins. Enough for 2 persons. Good for various rice dishes and subjis.

Good for boiling rice
I use this to boil basmati rice for 10-12 minutes after soaking the rice in water for 30 minutes. Drain the water and chef quality boiled rice prepared. Thick gauge, good build handi.

Super Product Great Satisfaction!
I am really happy about this product. Never have I written a review before but the quality and satisfaction after using this compels me to. Unique design and compact..good for making vegetables curries in small quantity. The water on lid works really well...so water is also less required. Overall it is highly satisfying. The only con I felt is it's a bit heavy. I bought this for mother in law...and she finds it difficult to handle due to this.

Totally in love
Amazing stuff ! Everything boils in it very quickly and saves a lot of cooking time. You never need to use full flame. Medium to low flame will do the job. So saves fuel too. I found the top doesn't get very hot, so a few times I accidentally touched the top while removing the lid, it wasn't hot, just slightly warm (and it was still on fire, mind you). This may not be the most suitable design for frying because the depth makes it difficult to see the bottom and I don't suggest looking directly into the saucepan while frying as shooting oil can harm your eyes/ face. Excellent for making curries, soups, sabzi etc, basically anything that has some water content and can be steamed or sautéed. Enjoy your handi or saucepan !

If you like to cook on low flame and get you vegetable or meat cook with its own juices and bring the essential roast to the dish than this is the perfect solution. I have tried cook most of the Indian vegetable recipes and has come out delicious. Highly recommend the product and has been designed for Indian handई (हांडी ) cooking.
