Does a Good Job, Until It Doesn't
Good value in a useful product where the temperature reading of a pool, spa or other facility is desired remotely, indoors, for example. We had no way to check the calibration, but its readings gave no reason to be doubted. Just installed--no indication of its longevity, but the internals appear to be very well made. One caveat: keep the threaded ring on the remote sensor tight or moisture may get in and disrupt its operation. If the pool has a cover, we suggest cutting a clearance opening in it to keep the remote unit exposed to the atmosphere, again to minimize the chance of moisture intrusion. Update: Unit worked very well for 2-3 weeks, then stopped communicating the temperature. Opening the pool unit revealed a troubling issue--water inside. We tried drying it out, which enabled it to work for a while, but then more water got in. We could not determine where the leak was, so sadly, just tossed it. Too bad the water sensor doesn't like being in the water!

It does not keep working
I have bought 2 of these and they are a joke. My first one lasted 11 months, this one lasted only a couple of months. It reads now 112 degrees when in fact it is 102. They keep going higher then will go to -9. Will be looking for a new brand

Excellent Pool Thermometer
Excellent! Bought this unit to replace a different brand that was defective. Extremely satisfied with this unit, I have the temperature sensor in the skimmer box of our inground concrete pool and the receiver unit on the refrigerator in the kitchen, at least 50'. Works great, no connection issues, very accurate, large numerals. Very easy set up right out of the box. Couldn't be more satisfied. Unlike the previous brand that we had for a while but then the sensor began to leak. Contacted their customer service and their only response was "it's out of Warranty ". It probably only needed a new gasket, but no, they were of no assistance. So I wrote a negative review for their product on Amazon. So in conclusion, I am very happy with this pool thermometer and highly recommend - plus their product description mentions that they have excellent US based customer service, hopefully I won't need it...

Would not buy. Device is guaranteed to malfunction.
I just returned the 2nd of these devices. The first one died after 6 months, likely due to a dead battery. I was unable to open the battery compartment, even with 2 over-sized wrenches. The 2nd device malfunctioned after less than a week of use. I tried changing batteries, but still no go. The device would show the water temperature as would any pool thermometer, but it would not send information to the base unit, I will try a similar device from a different vendor, hoping that it is not from the same vendor operating under a different name.

They all leak eventually… vacuum sealer is the answer.
I’ve tried a number of these type of remote bluetooth thermometers, both brand-name & knockoffs… they all leak and fail, eventually. I’ve taken to wrapping the “watertight” joint tightly with electrical tape, then vacuum-sealing the units in a bag using my foodsaver. If you line it up nice & square in the bag, it’ll float in the correct orientation just fine. Temperature response will be a bit slower, but it’ll equalize in a few minutes. Works well as insurance for the intended application, and i haven’t had a failure since i bagged & sealed this and one other unit.

Only lasted 3 months…but the company made good!
UPDATED: So after my initial post in February, the company reached out to me to offer me a free replacement and received it shortly after. The replacement has been working flawlessly ever since without issue. This company was proactive in making sure that customer satisfaction is a top priority. Changed my rating to 5 stars. ORIGINAL POST: Purchased this 3 months ago and it worked seamlessly until today. The display started to show the numbers broken up and then the receiver was unable to show the water temp. I thought perhaps the batteries needed to be replaced (which I did) and still nothing. All the receiver displays now is the air temp and humidity. The seal was tight and no water made it into the transmitter. So very disappointed and the return window is closed. Going to the trash and will need to find another alternative.

Stopped transmitting after a year
Worked well for about a year. Then something, maybe moisture intrusion, prevented the temperature from bring sent to the base unit. The thermometer appears to be taking the correct temperature but the wireless transmission stopped working.

Doesn't last, don't buy
Another floating pool thermometer bites the dust. I've tried several of these from different companies. Not a single one lasts. This one lasted barely a year, and it taken out of the pool and batteries removed for the four months we're away each in the summer, so at most 8 months in use. Usually they just die. This one reports nonsensical readings. If my pool temp was 26 degrees, it would be a block of ice. Not likely in Florida. Even when this thing did work, it was cranky and wouldn't always communicate with the base even though it's only about 40 feet away and separated by nothing but a pane of glass. And it has new, confirmed good batteries, there is no dirt or corrosion on the sensing contacts, no water inside, ... And yes, it's Fahrenheit, not Celsius.
