Pretty cool and quite sturdy. I bought this for imaginative play for my boys because they are very much into LoZ right now and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on the more realistic, expensive, and dangerous cosplay stuff. The shield is flat and the design is screen printed on, which isn't a problem for me because it's going to get a major beating from a six-year-old and an eight-year-old. In fact, they've already taken quite a hit and still look good. The Velcro is also holding on nicely. The seller was also fast and I got two sets of swords and shields less than a week from ordering. Would definitely do business with again!

Thick foam. Very sturdy. Perfect for my Zelda Obsessed 8 year old. He loves it and it is durable enough to stand the sparring with foam swords but not too heavy for him to hold. The cost is worth it 100%

I had bought these for my son for his Link costume for Halloween (the sword and the shield. I wanted something nerf like because he is only 10 and didn't want him to have to drag around something heavy. I was thinking it would just be some nerf quality type shield. I was really surprised at how nice it is. My kids were playing with it that night and it isn't a flimsy shield that bends over in half like a nerf shield would of been. The straps in the back adjust so you can put it on your back or over your arm. He is really into the details of it and said it is perfect. Really nice quality on the print. It is flat with the image, not raised, but like I said my kids were playing with the sword and shield whacking one another and it didn't do any damage to the print on the front. I like it being flat more so because then the paint/plastic won't get caught and come off. I bought these from the seller Armory Replicas and I would buy it again.

Very sturdy solid material. Straps were fasted very well and the Velcro is of significant stickyness. It had weathered the use of my big kid (Husband) and my little one (4yo son). The only off thing are the colors... They are not as bright as the image depicts. Thursday were actually kind of faded looking and darker. But my son loves it so we kept it.

The reviews on this were mixed and I wasn't certain what I'd get. What I got was a slab of hard foam, seems to be a little like EVA foam but is much more rigid. There's no relief in the design it is some ink printed on to the shield. The straps have held up to aggressive play by my 7-yo son. The foam itself has not survived quite as well. It seems my cats have taken a liking to it so there are many gouges in the foam, though that is hardly the fault of the foam itself.

I purchased this with my son's Link costume and was very happy overall. It is not a cheap plastic shield that I remember even using as a child and hurting myself because it provides no actually softness. But this is made out a hard foam that not only absorbs hits but does not hurt my son's harm when he wears it. So he could have a real battle with his friends. There are two velcro straps on the back that can be adjusted so he can easily hold it. The shield is big in size so it really gives the illusion of a strong shield. The design is nice and the picture on the front is durable and not painted on. So it can take some hits and still hold up and not chip off like those cheap painted toys.

I'm very pleased with this product. We got it for my brother who is 6, who is a avid Zelda fan. Its taller then I expected, and a has a great thickness to it (2 inchesish). While I wouldn't necessarily recommend this for adult Zelda fans... me being one of them (because it is a flat piece of foam, no curves, no embellishment, and just overall is not meant to be an exact replica) But if you are just wanting a good solid toy, thats cheap, and for children then I highly recommend it.

It's exactly perfect. I got two, one for my 3yr old and one for my 7yr old, they love them. They are big and thick and great quality. I'm very happy with them.
