DBC-611-1CR Data Bank Classic Series Quality Watches - Silver

This is a great old school Casio Calculator Watch that I have used for over 30 years, when I wear out one, I get a new one of the same model. I love the watch and calculator functions that I use multiple times a day (I don't have to pull my phone out to do calculations)! BUT I dislike the watchband. I replace the supplied band with a Speidel Twist-O-Flex band for rapid on-off and comfort. The included metal watch band is uncomfortable and the clasp is difficult to use, popping open inconveniently, allowing the watch to fall off. Battery life is good for 5 years, I do not use the illumination button which helps me get long battery life. The watch is water resistant, washing my hands getting splashed water on it is not a problem. I do not take it swimming or into the shower.

Classic watch. Metal band does not break. I wear these for years now. They function flawlessly. Body actually made out of plastic, but it is good and very tough plastic. Make them very light and comfortable to wear. No LED display, just simple, basic, vintage, classic. I hope I die wearing these and will be cremated wearing them ;)

Very cool watch but I am surprised how light is the watch. Easy to adjust if into old school watch this is the watch silver or gold 👍

Had one of these in the 90s. The biggest thing to know is the body here is plastic, not metal. Its much lighter than my original. Having said that, for the price it's a pretty good recreation of the original. The adjust button used to be recessed and now it sticks out.

Love the old school look

This watch is a great throwback and all of the functions work as intended. The calculator is fun and the Databank is neat. I love the retro look and the weight of the metal watch is nice on the wrist. But it has a few issues. One of them is the watch's poor back-light performance. The light only illuminates the left 1/3rd of the watch face and even in a 100% dark room I have to move the watch within 6 inches of my face to read it. The other issue I have with this watch, and the one keeping me from falling in love with it is the poor construction and lack of product testing that went into the wristband. The watch links were made by folding the pieces over each other. The result is about a hundred little slits facing your arm. These metal slits are constantly pulling, ripping and tearing the hair from my arm. My wrist is almost naked after a little more than 2 weeks wearing the watch daily. The worst is when a hair is stuck in the band and you move your arm. The watch will hang by your one arm hair until it breaks or rips it out painfully. This isn't scream out loud pain but it is aggravating and detracts from the watch's appeal. It's a fantastic show piece and I will wear it from time to time, but I can't stand losing my arm hairs painfully every time I wear it. It will sit on my watch shelf until I am ready to endure the pain of wearing it for another day.

This watch truly is the original smart watch. I absolutely love the nostalgia and the old school look. The watch is a true head turner and since it's a Casio, I know it will be functioning perfectly for a long time.

Great watch, not a DBC-611-1CR (chrome case) as advertised. Says so on the box label, but the watch and tag are DBC-611-1DF (silver tone case). Very misleading if, like me, it is important to you to have a chrome finish on the case.

It has both a vintage and modern look. Very stylish. The price is great. Even though the case is resin, the brushed chrome plating is very well done. The case blends in well with the stainless steel bracelet, which is super comfortable. The entire watch is rather lightweight and slim. I use the dual-time and stopwatch functions a lot. The calculator is also very functional and handy. The keypad is surprisingly easy to use. There were more than a few occasions when I preferred using it rather than fishing my iPhone out of my jeans pocket, log-in, find and open the calculator apps ….. just to crunch a few numbers. The only regret that I have is that the calculator is not scientific. I used to own a scientific calculator version of this watch (Casio CFX-400, I think) in the 90’. It is sad that they did not bring it back. I currently have a few more “luxurious” mechanical watches in my collection. Yet, this little Casio calculator watch is still occupying my wrist most of the time.
