Dayton Audio Classic C40 Center Channel Speaker (Wood Grain)

Very nice center speaker. I put together my own system, and selected this to be my center. I'd buy it again if I needed another one. Very happy. Great price.

I'm amazed at the quality of this center channel that's in this almost non-existent price range. I was skeptical. The construction is excellent....the wood finish is nice, and the gold-plated binding posts are well built, including the rubber surrounds in all of the woofers. I also need to mention that the new silk-dome tweeters are excellent. In all of the years of being a home theater audio enthusiast, I've never seen this quality at prices like this....... brilliant. I've purchased the entire line of Dayton's Classic line. Extremely happy with the audio quality. My theater quality has opened up. I was done with expensive products......been there and done that. These products are the answer to anybody who has grown tired of spending ridiculous amounts of money. The audio quality of these drivers are amazing. They can handle more than decent levels. I highly recommend the entire Dayton Classic audio line for any home theater enthusiast. They are legitimate.

Pretty great sound for the price, strong for a medium sized room plug and play. Easy to mount

A bit heavy in the 200 to 400hz area but nothing calibration can fix. Sounds very clear, can take power and loud. It seems to be built well and heavier than I initially thought, very solid. I have the now older B652-AIR (AMT Tweeter) Bookshelves and they pair surprising well. The added crossover really took this center to the next level and it's fighting way above it's price range. I don't know what profit they're making off these because $40 for this is CRAZY. Now the reason for the 4 stars. Taking off half a star for the woofer/dust cap glue. Right woofer is stuck neatly and cleanly however the left has some excess glue which was clearly a mistake. It's only noticable if you go close to it and inspect, still, this could have been avoided if more care was taken. Taking another half star off. I needed to get some clarification on a few things including the center channel. It is almost a month now, could never get a response back from them via email. It was sent multiple times. Kinda sucks when most of my items are from them and they don't even acknowledge your email.

Very nice as an inexpensive center speaker. Arrived in the original factory box, could have benefited from additional packaging. Works fine with music videos and television shows. Obviously not tone matched to the front left & right, but since the center channel is mainly for dialog, I haven't noticed any problems yet. We'll see how it deals with movies. Update: It sounds fine for this price point.

Speaker works amazing for the price! :) sounds like a much more expensive speaker, but with super friendly pricing. the wood grain looks really nice in my setup as well. there's a black one available too if that one matches your setup better. honestly you could buy a cheap amp and pair it with this alone and have better than soundbar sound for ~1/4 of the price

I was hesitant to buy the Dayton audio because I’ve had no experience with the brand.. but I just recently bought a plate amplifier from Dayton. It works beautifully so I bought the center channel and I have been pleasantly surprised by its performance.

Bought to put together an inexpensive home theater. Very happy with the appearance and sound quality.
