Fantastic quality and value sumac. I use it in my home-made za'atar recipes which we sprinkle on everything from roast vegetables to baked beans and even on our fried and boiled eggs with a little toasted sesame seeds also. Tastes amazing sprinkled on grilled tomatoes and drizzled with olive oil and garnished with fresh coriander. Has a wonderful tart, fresh taste that goes well with veg. Quorn pieces, too.Won't buy any other brand now. This is lovely. Have re-purchased again recently.

This adds an element to my cooking that i was definitely not prepared for. I'd never used or even heard of sumac until I bought it. Didn't know how to use it or what type of dishes it was for. Still dont really to be honest. Trial and error and so forth. Added it to some fried tomatoes, onions and peppers and the flavour was lovely. A very pleasant, almost lemon citrussy kind of flavour burst forth. But not sweet. It's hard to describe. Maybe like a savoury citrus twang that really brought the flavours of the pan alive. Definitely going to be used. This is going to be like my new tumeric that I couldn't stop using after leading my sheltered basic spice life for so long!! Plus you get so much! and it arrived very quickly too. Definitely worth a go
