This is a really high quality kit, all metal construction and cleverly designed.
I have tried a few Freenove kits and have enjoyed building them. This kit, like the others I have tried, comes with all of the parts carefully laid out and easy to identify. The online tutorial explains what you need to do and why you need to do each step. This helps you to become a better user and, ultimately builder/designer of robotic devices. This kit has all-metal construction, is very sturdy and has great potential to do many things. It's not a cheap kit but the extra cost buys you high quality stepper motors and mechanical parts.

Highly recommended
A great kit with excellent documentation and timely/comprehensive support. This product provides the perfect introduction to Python coding for robotics. All supplied code is fully documented and can be easily customised.

I am Sandy's husband writing review. I use her account for purchases sometimes. I used the robot arm as part of a hobby project which filled a water bottle and transported it to and from Freenove's Big Hexapod robot. Also trying out the pen writing functions with the robot. Freenove provides excellent STEM projects with detailed instructions, detailed explanations on how the hardware and coding work, and terrific support. I did have one problem. My Raspberry-Pi OS was a newer version than that shown in the manual. Freenove updated their software to accommodate this newer release!

The arm arrived pretty well packed, except a few of the pieces had moved from their original location in the form, making identification a little more difficult. Construction following the Tutorial was straight forward. It took me about 3 hours moving very slowly and carefully. The only real difficulty was trying to figure out the best routing of the wires to the motors and position sensors. When finished, the arm is very sturdy and will likely hold up well. The most like failure point would be one of the drive belts. Hopefully I will be able to get areplacement if one does fail. I used a Raspberry Pi 3B for the platform (i.e. Server) and was going to use a Mac as the client. However, I could not get the Mac (Mac Mini running Mojave (10.14.6) to load the software per the Tutorial. In particular, the "opencv" package. After several emails to the support folks who offered suggestions that didn't solve the problem, I gave up on the Mac and switched to a Linux machine (rPi400). The software loaded easily on the Linux machine, and both the provided Client and Server software seem to work well. Operation is smooth and precise, much better than any servo-based arm I've used in the past. It is slower than servo based arms, but again much more precise. All I need to do now is examine the Client software to extract the communication protocol so I can integrate the arm with other iot devices around my house. All in all, I am very pleased with the arm, the provided software, and the responsiveness of the support people via email.
