Texas Chainsaw Massacre [DVD] [1974] [Region 1] [US Import] [NTSC]

Excellent but... its not the correct DVD region for the UK unfortunately. Not hard to get A 4KU version though. Besides the above, its very good and i3d say worth the money for a collector.

I bought this specifically for the packaging. The 4K transfer is the exact same as the Turbine release a couple of years ago as Turbine licensed it from Dark Sky who are the current rights holders. The Transfer itself is great and looks brilliant, not quite as good as Second Sights 4K transfer which I find to be ever so slightly better (though admittedly, there's not a lot in it). The film is still a classic and it looks brilliant. The packaging is the main reason for me to buy this. The white cover with the OG artwork is Iconic and there has been a lot of care take with this. The Steelbook is Matte rather than Glossy which is great and the chainsaw is shiny which just looks awesome. I currently own the Turbine Steel as well as the Second Sight 4K and I still wouldn't hesitate to recommend the Dark Sky Steelbook edition.

Much improved picture compared to the previous release probably as good as it can be the audio was amazing in 7_1.

Awesome steelbook Came with poster. 2 disc edition - 1st disc is the movie - 4K restoration. Looks awesome. 2nd disc is Blu Ray (region A) - so ensure you have a multi region bluray player - if you live in New Zealand like myself. Heaps of special features on the Blu Ray disc.

Transfer to 4K is great, still gritty with better colour in my opinion. Bonus disc has some great extras, some new, some already included in other reissues. So far the best version I’ve watched.

El diseño de la portada del Steelbook tiene ese toque ochentero que gusta tanto, la calidad es muy buena, así como el sonido. Cuenta con subtítulos en español para los que se preguntan. Cuenta con un solo disco, lo que para algunos puede ser algo negativo al ser una edición de aniversario, pero el disco cuenta con un gran material extra. Mi pero tiene que ver con el daño en la portada, no creo que haya sido a causa de la paquetería ya que la envoltura no permitiría ese tipo de daño, sin embargo no fue nada serio que echara a perder el producto, aunque sí me disgusta un tanto al apreciar al estética de la cubierta.

Brilliant dvd redo. Better than theatre quality.
