These crossbars worked well for our RAV4 and stayed secure during our long road trip. We used them to mount a rooftop cargo bag and drove about 2,000 miles without any problems. The build quality is decent, though the fit and finish are not as tight as higher-end brands like Thule or the OEM bars. The rubber gasket between the bar attachment and the car doesn’t seem perfectly fitted or neatly made, so I do wonder if water could eventually get in through that area. That said, they cost less than half the price of the OEM crossbars, so the value is quite good. For occasional use like road trips with a roof bag, they do the job well. I may remove them when not needed since we only use them for longer trips.

The bars are good quality material and look and feel like they should be $100’s more. The mounts were also good quality, but the hardware seems cheap. The one sliding nut in one of the brackets stripped out easily, and left the one side loose. Tried to have it replaced but didn’t have any luck even though I sent pictures. The worst part is that the instructions are not the best. The little rubber strip on the bottom of each bar was full length, so apparently you have to trim it to let the roof brackets mount to it. I thought they were just an oversight because the instructions said NOTHING about them so I threw them out. By the time I hit the road they garbage was gone, and the racks whistled UNBEARABLY with the wind noise. Great price, seemingly great initial quality materials, some poor instructions and hardware. I have bought several Nilight products and have had good luck and good customer service. Just didn’t work with this item so great.

Okay, so I am very pissed off. Purchased this for a friend and gave it to him today for his birthday. I went on based what Amazon and Niight said. “It will fit” Followed the instructions and tried to install it, turns out the front was too long and the rear side was perfect. The screw holes they placed were not measured correct (both sides of the front) we had to cut off 1’ 3/8” off to match the correct length. Also, The rubber gaskets that it comes with does not cover the whole thing it needs to be the same but add more length on it. So pissed off with Niight and I’m done buying anything from Niight including light bars and pods etc… very pissed off. Of course we couldn’t return these because the window has closed but I wasn’t going to give my friend his present earlier than his birthday.

These are pretty good quality crossbars for the money. Now installed, they do whistle while driving. The installation instructions are missing a lot of much needed explanation. The holes for the car's bolts were too small so I had to drill them out larger. The worst part is the snap on covers .. once installed, these things won't snap on to save your life .. the rubber seals prevent them from clicking into place as does the fact that the mounts bend some in the process of tightening. I had to glue them in place and hold them tight with clamps until the glue held. Of course if they ever have to come off, those covers will have to be destroyed and I'm sure this company isn't the type to keep replacement parts on hand. I put OEM crossbars on my Toyota and that was an entirely different experience. I guess you get what you pay for. I do not recommend these.
