Is this non synthetic dot iii brake fluid? the old kind that removes paint if spilled on it and not immediately wiped up? i need non synthetic dot iii

If it is synthetic, it will say so on the bottle. If it does not list or show synthetic on the bottle then it is regular DOT3 fluid.

Why does this not work in 2008 suburban?

Hello, because the 2008 is much newer than 1980's vehicles, I do believe it is required to have DOT 4 brake fluid as the AC Delco here is DOT 3 category brake fluid. Please also check with your local mechanic to verify your suburban as being rated DOT 4 brake fluid. Thank you! Jon G.
