Do not recommend
Does Not hold air. Started leaking as soon as C02 was inserted.

Such a fun pistol
I wasn't expecting much from this after reading all the bad reviews but I can honestly say I've had a much different experience. My first time using this, I set up a bunch of cans in a sand pit and started unloading on them. I was picking cans off from 20-30yards with ease. I was surprised at how accurate it was and how much power it had. It was a lot of fun. I can't even count how many times I reloaded it with BBs. It felt like the c02 cartridge was never going to run out of air. The pistol does feel a little cheap, kind of like an airsoft pistol, but it shoots well. I don't really care for the John Wayne look. I'm more of a tactical military style gun enthusiast. Overall, I feel like this is a fantastic pistol for the price.

Just Not Great?
I don't know, I just can't put my finger on it? I was so excited at this thing as a neat little thing for chasing off the raccoons harassing local "outdoor" cats but I really underestimated how toy like this thing ended up being from the aggressive use of molded plastic that's somewhat tough but still feels out of place to the weirdly mismatched palm swell that drops from the narrow neck of the handle it just feels very wrong. The hammer is pretty heavy which makes sense for a C02 canister but I'v had other such revolvers that didn't need this weirdly heavy hammer. Using the shell ejector for holding multiple rounds instead of revolving cylinder makes sense but looks terrible and also doesn't explain why it commands such a price over competitors. Summary being it just looks cheap, feels cheaper and I just can't see either value or quality anywhere on this thing.

A fun novelty
Eh, I suppose John Wayne was my dad’s time; he loved his movies. As a kid, I remember often asking my dad to watch anything but war, western, or Wayne movies. So there is a little nostalgia….but I really just ordered this because I like guns…they’re fun to shoot. So, who doesn’t want a CO2 gun for a little plinking? I have, let’s just say…multiple, “real” guns….but a little plinking with CO2 gun and some BB’s is also fun. I suppose I could kill a varmint at close range with this, but for me this is really just for carnival-like plinking. I don’t expect a carnival gun, or a (short-barreled) “John Wayne” revolver-style BB gun to be accurate beyond a few yards…it’s just for fun. To that, this gun: • Is lightweight, I wouldn’t call it very hefty or robust. • Is single action, gotta cock the hammer then pull the trigger on each shot. • Has a safety. • The removable grip plate also operates at as the screw adjuster for the CO2 cartridge…nice touch (i.e. no need to carry an extra tool). Bottom Line: I consider this as a fun plinking gun…and also perhaps as a close-range varmint gun, and even perhaps an introductory gun to teach adolescents on gun safety and handling (I might be stretching a little on the last…but to that, while not so deadly, this still fires a metal projectile as rapid velocity...so it’s still harmful and gun safety rules apply!)…and with a touch of old west nostalgia.

It’s a very nice little c02 pistol
Perfect for beginners or anyone looking to practice safely handling handguns. Single action which means you pull back the hammer to “cock” the gun before squeezing the trigger. Each shot. It’s very nice quality, in fact, it’s cartridge containment is way more secure than the crossman brand one I had years ago. I actually own the real version of the pistol this one is modeled after and it is identical. Bullseye-accurate at 10 yards. Looks very real and should be treated as such, but have fun because this air gun is definitely that!
