Bellroy Venture Duffel (40L weekend bag) - Black

I have had this duffle for several months and have used it as my carry on for a few trips now. Trip one was five days in a colder climate. I packed normal everyday essentials stuff with an extra pair of sneakers along with extra warm clothes and had room to spare. Trip number two was nine days to a warmer climate. I packed the normal everyday essentials stuff but had to sacrifice the extra pair of sneakers due to the extended length of the trip. In a dry run, I found that I most likely could safely pack this bag for a ten day trip with extra sneakers but, it would be overpacked and heavy.All in all this is a well built bag. The organization pockets on the interior and exterior of the bag are good for small soft items (extra masks charging cables, snacks etc), I love the shoe bag feature and also love that it is removable. In the experience that I have had I would definitely recommend not over packing as it leads to the bag being stiff and heavy. Limiting it to a long weekend/ short vacation bag is where you want to be. It’s a Bellroy bag so it’s great quality, great materials, spans stylish.

Like other Bellroy products, this duffel bag is very nicely designed: the nylon fabric is sturdy, the handles are well anchored, and the outer zippers are all sealed. The interior takes advantage of the classic barrel shape to be as capacious as it can be, and there are two additional, thoughtful features: a zippered pouch built into the inner wall of the bag and a "wet" bag for shoes or dirty clothes anchored to the floor (though not permanently, if you'd prefer to remove it). It ain't an inexpensive bit of gear, but it is very handsome and perfectly suited for its role as a weekend bag.

I bought and returned 7 other duffle bags, including Yeti and other Belroy. This one is excellent for me. Well designed and worth the cost. Great zippers, but the inner mesh pockets are not to love. A very light material that snags some of the things I put in there. I fear they will fail eventually. This review is after a half dozen uses, so longevity is not rated. Great, almost perfect bag for the money, to me.

Been looking for a good size gym bag and this is perfect. Great pockets insides and just the perfect size to hold a few set of gym clothes etc.

Love this bag for travel. Fits more than you would expect. Zippers are thick and nice quality. Also comes with a large bag to store the bag while not in use. Overall - it’s a great choice for a carry-on/weekender option.

There is also a laundry/shoe bag included that feels a bit aimless and if full, will eat into the capacity quite a bit.

I love the Bellroy bags but the pricing is so off. This particular bag is handsome and keeps its shape. I love the subtle label, not so much the pricepoint. I use Patagonia bags primarily, great utility and quality but they're too sporty sometimes. The I turn to Bellroy.
