Perfect replacement
This safety switch is a perfect replacement. Remember the wiring for this switch is normally closed (NC), so the wires can be connected without worry of cross contamination.

Use it for an experiment on AC power
First I need to say, you're responsible for any usage that is not mentioned as recommended use by seller or manufacturer... I bought this to test out my AC power water pump. My water pump is running from a 110v AC power wattage usage is low, maybe 10watts the most but I think less.My purpose of using this is to pump water into my hydroponic bucket when the water is low, especially during the hot summer months. I cannot just use the garden hose water with a float valve because the water I have is premix with fertilizer for hydroponic, so it's not just any regular water. So the idea is to install this switch in the hydroponic water bucket and when it's low, it will trigger power to turn on the water pump to pump water nutrients from another bucket, and so far it is working, but like I said before, I don't think this is the intend use, but it work for me because although the voltage is 110V AC but my wattage is so low I don't think it will burn my house down if there's a short, even though if there's a short, the circuit breaker will trip or the thin wire will basically burned, just my thought I do not recommend doing it my way though.Other than that, I think this float switch is useful in triggering a connection.

Lifesaver for leaky AHUs
Our previous switch failed, causing our drip pan to overflow into our bathroom ceiling. Summer in the south is a terrible time to be living without AC, so fast Amazon delivery got us back in business without risking another spill!

Switch was DOA, replacement OK.
UPDATE: Seller processed replacement switch quickly, and new switch operated properly..(Original) Floatswitch arrived on time but was DOA (stuck in closed) and would not interrupt HVAC control circuit with float movement. Checked with meter, yep, it's DOA. Hopefully replacement ordered thru Amazon will be better. If it is, I will adjust review.
