Valvoline Restore & Protect Full Synthetic 5W-30 Motor Oil 1 QT, Case of 6

This oil does exactly what Valvoline says it does. Ring packs slowly become cleansed of carbon and the rings finally loosen up and operate as designed thus greatly reducing oil consumption. After using this oil for two cycles I switched to a more expensive syn oil and found that I lost fuel efficiency and general drivability. So I switched back to VRP and my Infiniti FX45 is running like a Swiss watch with improved mpg. VRP might just be the greatest engine oil ever formulated. I truly believe Valvoline should establish this oil formula as their base-line product and build upon it.

Its oil, does oil things like its supposed too. Doesn't taste good though.

After two oil filter changes (1st 500 miles) 135K and Final R & R at the 3,000 oil change. The oil was dirty as hell. I think the product was doing what it claims to be doing. With the Techron High Mileage Fuel treatment cleaner and this Valvoline Restore Oil I noticed about a 2 mile a gallon increase in my 2014 Ford F150 5.0 engine to 18mpg at 138K

This stuff is legit! I've used it on my 2016 Honda Pilot and my 2016 Hyundai Elantra GT. Valvoline advises it takes 4 oil changes to really see the full difference. They're right - I'm on my 5th oil change for each car and these engines are "stealth" and quiet. No ticking and no slapping - just the quiet purr of a happy engine.

I've used this in a 2016 Hyundai 1.6 turbo motor that had pretty bad sludge buildup from years of short-distance driving. I've performed 2x 3K mile oil changes and can already see a huge difference. My dipstick and oil fill port both had quite a bit of oil sludge scale on them before, and they are almost completely clean. I dropped the oilpan at the last oil change and can see that the bottom end is also looking much better than when I started (at this time I inspected it with a borescope). Not related to the oil itself, but the Hyundai oil pan is designed by buffoons.. the way the drain hole is placed, the pan easily holds 1/2 quart of dirty oil that cannot be drained.

Too soon to say whether its cleaning inside as it suggests 4 oil changes to show the effect. But the oil definitely made the engine noticeably quieter, smoother, and reduced the fluctuating revs I had due to the sludge (which I am hoping to clean by this oil). So its definitely effective in getting control of the internal lubrication requirements.
