Acana is a little expensive, but out 15 yr old Rottie lives it mixed in with her Acana dry food.

while the pup does prefer the beefy chunks version of the Acana food to this pate, there is simply more volume despite the being the same weight. i use a cup of this as a mixer along with a cup of kibble. for the cost of this high quality meal addition. i like seeing the food to the rim of the can for my money. this is among the few i feel certain is very good for my guy.

I ordered the pate to mix with my dogs food to ensure she was getting enough protein as a puppy . Then switched to the chunks (did not like them)…. Then switched back to pate. It’s definitely the one I prefer. Only thing I’d watch out for is the texture. If you feed this only to your dog be careful on how quick is being eaten. I ran out of my doggies food once and she only ate this for one meal one time and as she was eating she threw up the pate shaped in The shape of her esophagus . The texture is very sticky and compacted . Love it to mix with her regular food but taking the necessary precautions .

This from the same dog who demands his bacon be lightly crispy, mind you. Sure, it’s a bit pricey, but when it comes to Acana’s ingredients and quality that even a canine connoisseur can’t resist, it’s worth every penny. Thank you!!

My Pup gets so excited when I pull out a can. I have a toy poodle and mix in 2-3 tablespoons with his kibble once a day and he really enjoys it. He has a finicky tummy but so far he hasn't had any issues with this product which makes BOTH of us happy.

My picky picky dog who wouldn't eat any kibble, home cooked meals, Justfoodfordogs, or the other Acana Beef wet food, LOVES this. I was defeated and exhausted from never finding a food that she liked. I mix this with some Acana Wholesome grains kibble and water. I get worried about the DCM "gossip" with Acana so I add a little bit of home cooked oats to her food. I'm excited to circulate the different types of pate for her so she stays enticed. If you're a worried picky dog parent, my best advice is the "best" food for your dog is the one that they will actually eat. Just try to find the highest ingredients that you can.
