Easy to apply and very durable

A great layer to apply pre polish as a protector also- used this for a long time.

I really like this and it’s much better quality than some other nail hardeners I’ve used recently. I have very brittle weak nails that split horizontally and vertically. I’ve been using another brand but they still break. This goes on in a very very pale pink natural colour, the sort of colour that you can do French manicure on top. It’s a nail Hardner that does work and stays put with no flaking and chipping. This is the first hardener that I’ve ever used that actually stays put on hard-working hands. It’s a big thumbs up for me and a well deserved five stars.

I love this nail polish: it's almost transparent but sparkly enough to give your nails a neat appearance. The quality of this polish is good as expected from Essie but giving it 4 stars because Essie just can't seem to improve the application brush, which is far too wide and shapeless for me. The brush is the only thing that lets this polish down. It may be ok if you have large nails but hard if your nails are small. Especially for a more precise application around the edges. Other than that, it's a great polish.

This has been on for over 48 hours - the recommended two coats were applied - during which period hands have been washed a great many times, washing up done with and without gloves, gardening with gloves and various light domestic work. Not a scratch or blemish so far, which is pretty darn good. This colour is delicate and subtle; the white tips of the nails can be seen through two coats and it gives the nails a shell-like coral/pink tinge. The polish has some sparkle but this can only be seen in bright sunlight, so it's otherwise understated and classy. The only downside was that it took almost 20 minutes to dry sufficiently, even though the nails were exposed to a warm breeze, but given the look and endurance of the the polish it's worth the wait.

Even with three layers this does not offer coverage, it makes your nails look yellowed and shiny - which ultimately looks unhealthy

Briefly this varnish is for those people who want their nails to recover, their nails may be in a bad way after illness etc and the nail varnish adds a coat which hides bemishes and gives the look of a clean healthy nail.# The formula is kind to the nail and helps to develop better nails. As such the colour is not deep just subtle. My wife is long term ill and her nails are not in a good state. Her illness has caused long term damage. If she applies heavy duty nail varnish and the like the removal causes more damage than it is worth. With this simple but effective product she can achieve good, natural looking effects. The effect of having good nails is therapeutic and thus we have awarded an extra star.

My nails are not particularly strong. If I manage to grow all my nails to a reasonable length, this never lasts and after a short period of time, they all start to break one by one. Over the years I have tried innumerable products which claim to strengthen them. I am not convinced that any product will actually strengthen the nail. Is this even possible? However, experience has taught me that always wearing a protective coat on the nails does help to stop them splitting and breaking. For this reason I try to wear nail polish all the time and I find it works even better if I wear a base coat below the polish and a top coat on top of it. This helps the polish to last for quite a long time. I am using this Essie product on its own and as advised I am wearing two coats. The colour is "See the Light" and I would describe this as a pale nude colour. It is not opaque, it is translucent and it provides an attractive nude sheen on the nails. It is a much lighter, more see-through effect than provided by nail polish but I really like it. If you wanted a more opaque finish you could easily wear nail polish on top of this. I have been wearing it for a few days now and it is lasting well and shows no sign of peeling. My nails do feel protected and less likley to break. Only time will tell whether it actually strengthens the nails but I intend to keep on using it in the hope that it will. Overall I really like it.

Efficace sur en terme de soin mais la couleur sur mes ongles ( j'ai la peau mate) n'est pas jolie. Je l'ai donné.

Je connais bien les vernis Essie et j’ai été très déçue de la tenue de celui-ci. Il s’écaille dès le lendemain.

I have tried various gal/shellacs in the past. They were great for 2 to 3 weeks , until the nails grew out enough to leave a bare edge at the base of the nail. The problems start when you try to remove them. It requires a combination of acetone and/or scraping/filing that leaves lasting damage to the nails. That's where this product comes in. I apply it once every 1-2 weeks. It adds a little shine and helps hide the age lines in my nails. Unlike other nail strengthening products I have tried it doesn't make them brittle.
