My soapbox is that crayons should not be circular in order to save parents' sanity. We've had honeysticks before and are familiar with their crayon. Honeysticks are a thicker crayon than a regular Crayola. After a year of using their other, regular, circular crayons, they are some of the only few left as a full crayon because of their sturdiness. We had the pastel colors so they are lighter to appear, so I'm glad to see darker colors offered here. Though, the color selection is kind of odd overall. You can't make a full rainbow with either the pastels or the deeper colors. Overall, the shape of these are a huge pro - bring these to restaurants to save your sanity of picking up crayons from the floor.

This is a great set for an eco-friendly gift to parents of a toddler. The box is a natural cardboard that displays the crayons nicely. The crayons are chunky and easy to grip for toddlers. They are a bit tacky/sticky, but that might go away with time and use. The best thing about these is that they have the most heavenly honey scent--really pretty unique for crayons!They colors are beautiful on the sticks, though the actual drawing ability of them is a bit light. You still get the colors, it just seems more translucent than a typical crayon.

These smell like honey and they color great. Doubles as stacking blocks. I wish they were more “bee hive” hexagonal shaped for their tiny hands vs. flat rectangles. My two year old grips them a little funny when he tries to color and ends up opting for his other toddler crayons instead.Just an fyi these collect pet hair. We’ve had a few on the floor and picked it up to find hair and crumbs stuck to it. Easy enough to brush off but just an fyi.

These are my favorite toddler crayons. The egg shaped ones are easy to hold but they don’t color. These rectangles are better for motor development and they actually color. Plus they’re made with natural dyes and beeswax so when my baby inevitably eats them it feels better to me

I love the Honey sticks company and have been getting a variety of their crayons for the past few years. I love that they are food grade and that they are made of beeswax. The beeswax makes them smell sweet and kind of like honey which we love. I appreciate that there is no chemical scents to them and that they are more blocky which means easier to hold for toddlers and easier to color in larger areas. This particular set is a 16 pack and has some very beautiful colors, not just the primary colors.
