6 year old Daughter's first lego set.
My 6 year old daughter had been asking to try a Lego set for a while, so I picked this one as a first build to see if she’d actually enjoy it or lose interest after a few minutes. Happy to say she stayed focused the whole time and really got into it. The Lego app on my phone was a big help as it breaks everything down into simple steps and shows exactly which bricks to use and where they go, which made things much easier for her. I also really liked that a lot of the steps were repeated or mirrored, so I could show her how to do one side and then she could copy it herself. A few bits were a little fiddly, so she needed help with some of the smaller pieces and clicking them into place , but nothing too frustrating. Once finished, it’s a really good size and she’s super proud of it. She has it on display and loves telling everyone that she built it herself. I paid £12 for the set and it feels well worth the money as it feels like a high quality Disney toy. It also comes with a smaller build which is a plate of colourful bugs that makes a nice accessory to the main model. This smaller model gave her the opportunity to build something completely independently using the instructions, this helped build her confidence in doing things by herself. I would say it's a great choice for younger kids who are new to LEGO.

Hakuna Matata! Now my desk has a king!
I bought this LEGO Simba set because my inner child still sings “I Just Can’t Wait to Be King” every morning (sorry, neighbors). Building Simba was a roaring good time—no wildebeests required! The instructions were clear enough that even Timon could follow them, and the finished Simba is so adorable I half-expected him to burst into song. He now sits on my desk, judging my procrastination with royal gravitas. My only complaint? He doesn’t come with a tiny plate of grubs. But hey, you can’t have everything—unless you’re Mufasa. If you want to feel the love tonight, or just need a mane attraction for your LEGO shelf, this little cub is pawsitively perfect. Long live the king!
