Worked perfectly.
I was able to code my BMW iDrive to full screen Apple Car play. Very easy for this 67 year old Granny to do. Downloaded the code, used my MacBook Pro and connected the ENET cable under the dash and BAM it’s done.

Read if you’re having connection issues
If you’ve tried everything possible to make it work and had no luck: Disconnect the negative terminal of your car’s battery for about 20 seconds and reconnect. Turns out the modules can enter a locked/glitched state if you switch OBD scanners or your car experiences a voltage dip. This renders the car unable to respond to scanner requests. A quick battery reset fixes this.

Reliable cable ensures stable and confident coding sessions
Don’t risk your BMW by trying to save $10, just buy this high quality cable and adapter, and follow bimmercode instructions exactly. The OBD2 connector fits my BMW M440i and other BMWs very well. The Ethernet cable is thick and heavy duty. The included Ethernet to USB C adapter works well with my iPhone 17 PM and my brother’s iPhone 16 PM. The quality inspires confidence when coding, and coding pushes quick. I haven’t had any connection issues or dropouts over several coding sessions.

Horrible product
I never write reviews but this is horrible does not work with phone, or as a connection to a laptop. Doesn’t work with bimmer code or bm3. I went all the way to switching ips for the connection. To just turning on airplane mode do not recommend it was just a waste of time. This will not connect to anything.

Worth every penny
Be sure to put your phone in airplane mode, no Bluetooth and enable Ethernet tethering! Worked like a charm. Literally 10,000x faster than the Bluetooth adapter.

Great Tools for BMW
Fully functional for bimmercode and Bimmerlink, faster speed than bluetooth OBD connector, overall quality is great and easy to use. Updates: I’ve seen people complaining they can’t get access or device not working for them, because they did not turn on Airplane Mode, MAKE SURE TO TURN ON AIRPLANE MODE AND TUROFF WIFI in order to get access into bimmercode or bimmerlink, after getting into the menu TURN BACK ON WIFI ONLY, so the app won’t show you did not purchase license, tested on iPhone, FULLY FUNCTIONAL.
