Toro Recycler with Briggs & Stratton EXi Engine Tune-Up Kit

Great quality Tune up kit for our Toro lawnmower. Be sure to check your model number so you are getting the right air filter. Our new Toro has a different filter from the old one so we had to buy a different Tune up kit than before. Two wishes: that it came with the fuel stabilizer packet so I didn’t have to pay another $5 to buy that separately, and that I could learn how to sharpen the blades myself so I could save some money there. And if you have a new mower, read your owners manual before the tune up. Air filter easy to install but I did not pay attention that you are supposed to run all the gas out of the mower before turning it on it’s side to change the blade. Never had to have empty gas on the old mower. But our current model leaks gas into the air filter when the mower is on its side, and then the mower wouldn’t start for a couple hours I guess until the gas evaporated. Not the fault of this tune up kit, but important to read the mower’s user manual to know. I do recommend this tune up kit. No issues. Great quality. Arrived on time as promised. This is my second blade for my mower that I've replaced and these are GREAT, and cheaper than anything I can find locally. Easy to do a quick tuneup and my mower is back to like-new after several years.

Everything was correct and in relatively good order except the spark plug was put in a shipping box without and cover or box to protect it. The plug was loose, so it got to shake around and hit the mower blade that was in the box during shipping. I inspected the plug and luckily it was not bent or cracked… but could have been a risk. The air filter was unboxed also, but it’s a soft part so no problem there. The value of the deal was good, but for next time, I’d recommend the shipper to do something about the loose, unprotected spark plug.

I am someone who likes to take care of any power tools and gadgets I have around my house and every season I make sure the mower is in tip top shape for the spring and summer months ahead. This kit is everything I need to ensure that my mower runs properly throughout the entire season.

Although its end of season in my area, late September, my mower was overdue for a quick tune up. The blade especially was extremely worn. I have a Toro 22" Recycler, model 20334. All the parts in this kit fit well and they give you more oil than most small engines require. If you're a DIYer and your mower is in need of a tune-up, I'd recommend this kit. Two things to note... (1) The Toro 22" Recycler manual states oil changes aren't necessary but that's not a risk to take. This mower doesn't have a drain plug so you'll have to simply tip it over to drain it. (2) For those first-timers changing the blade, be sure to have a pair of locking pliers (AKA "Vise Grips") to hold the blade in place while you unscrew the bolts. The rest is almost self explanatory.
