The machine overall is a good diy tool but it is by no means a professional tool. If you put too much pressure on the handle, there is a slight burning smell from the motor so it's only good for small to medium rubbing/polishing jobs. With a grinding pad of suitable grit, this can be however be used to grind paint if you are a painter. Giving only 3 stars because there is only microfiber pad with the package, could have been a larger dia pad for the price.
