Excellent smaller companion for spectra pumps
After using this to pump outside of the house for 1 week now, I'm really happy with this purchase. I have pumped at work, in the car, and on a plane with it and would 100% buy again. At first use, I wasn't sure about it compared to the S1--the massage function felt weak and I wasn't used to the single control that manipulates both speed and suction on expression mode (the higher the suction the slower the speed). However, I stuck with it and quickly realized that even though it doesn't feel as powerful as the S1 that I am used to, this pump works really well. I get the same volumes as I do with S1 in about the same time pumping. It is definitely a little bit louder than the S1 but it doesn't bother me (and again, was able to pump on the plane without attracting attention). Charge lasts >3-4 pump sessions. Note: I have tried elvies and much prefer this. I think the elvie parts are too cumbersome and more difficult to fridge hack. This pump uses all the same S1 parts that I already had (including charger, so I leave one at home and one at work), so now I have multiple flanges and valves that work for both pumps. Size is amazing--so much easier to travel with than my s1 and fits in the outside pocket of my sarah wells pumparoo bag. Overall, a definite win!

Excellent investment for pumping on the go - not a main machine
I ended up exclusively pumping for my little one for 13+ months - that means I spent A LOT of time connected to my breast pump. I had both an S1 and S2 for the first few months and loved them. When I went back to work, even those were a lot to lug around, so I invested in the S9 so I could pump on the go. Pros: - Extremely Lightweight - Very Portable - Uses all the same Spectra parts as the full-time machines - Fits in a very small bag (and some cupholders) - Works on battery alone or plugged (to the wall or the car charger) Cons - Suction decreases on battery power alone (I would often leave this plugged in to get more juice) - no pun intended. - Less configuration options with speed and suction - I always just sort of had it on max. - Not a great solo machine. I think it would be hard for this to be your only pump. I only used it when i was pumping in the car or at work - at any other time I much preferred the suction and options of my S1 or S2. - It's not the loudest machine, but it certainly isn't quiet. You aren't going to be able to pump in a movie theater or anything. Bottom line - if you need to pump on the go - this is a great investment.

Small and potable, less suction than the spectra 2
I think the spectra 9+ is great for occasional pumping. It is small and portable and easy to fit into my pumping bra so I can actually walk around while pumping. It’s ideal for pumping at work as it’s quick to set up and light to carry. The downside to it is that I do not get the full suction that I do on my spectra 2. The spectra 9 plus, at its max (L10) sucks at the level of the spectra 2, L7 or L8. This might be perfectly fine for some people, but I usually pump on the spectra 2 at L10 to L12, so the spectra 9 plus does not empty my breasts as well. I still use the spectra 9 plus when getting ready in the morning, I hook it up and go do my hair and eat breakfast and all that. I also use it at work to pump as it’s easy and light to carry back and forth. The rest of the day I pump with my spectra 2 to make sure my breasts are fully emptied. The spectra 9 plus is ideal for travel, on a plane or at work, but I will save it for those occasions and still mainly use my spectra 2 to maintain my supply.

Good portable companion to the Spectra S2
Good portable companion to the Spectra S2, my main pump. I use this for pumping at work. Pros: -It is compatible with the same horns and cups as the S1 and S2 (means less time sanitizing parts for me). Replacement parts are not hard to find. -It holds enough charge to get two to three 30min pump sessions. It is also compatible with the S2 charge cord. Cons: -It does not empty me. Which is fine for a secondary travel pump. I would not use this as a primary pump. -You cannot customize the vacuum and cycle settings. Each vacuum level has a set cycle count. I don't mind this, but if you're used to the S1 or S2, it might matter to you. Overall, it gets the job done and I wish I bought it sooner. I have had it for about a month and hope that it keeps performing well.

GREAT PUMP
This is my fourth breastfed baby/using a breastpump - I've owned the Medela PISA (hate) and the full-size Spectra pump (love and prefer) and actually didn't mind lugging it around. I travel quite a bit for work and was curious if it might make packing a bit more efficient. I wish I had bought it sooner. It fits in my back jean pocket and standard a car cup holder... I have even used it during many commutes. It is quiet and powerful, and fits with all of the other standard Spectra pump parts. Now, I prefer to use the full-size Spectra pump at home and the Spectra 9 at work and for travel. Note that the speed and vacuum settings are preset (vacuum setting will not go higher than 5 in massage mode, and the higher the vacuum setting, the lower the frequency of the expression mode). If you need a custom setting, this pump isn't for you. I am personally very happy with the 9 and do not see this as a con because it takes the guesswork out of the settings. Very cost-effective, small pump... highly recommend!

Lo amo, excelente succión, higiénico ya que la leche no pasa a las mangueras, batería recargable que dura cerca de 2 hrs. Excelente producto, mucho mejor que otras marcas caras.

I love this pump! I was previously using the Medela Swing and a silicone pump to maximise output but decided to give this a try and I am so glad i did. It’s a great double pump, very small and quiet. A good LED display which shows how long you have been pumping for as well. It’s easy to assemble and use. The only thing I find is that it easily comes apart mid pump if you haven’t put everything together firmly. My output is now higher using this, however it is not for heavy use and should be used once supply has been established. I pump 4 times a day and find it works well. It also is rechargeable so is easily portable. I’m so glad I purchased this, and as it was on offer it was only slightly more than the swing but a lot better.

Love this pump for out and about. Not to be used for every day expressing as it does not pump as good as for example Spectra 2, which is much stronger but for traveling its perfecf very light, compact and easy to use.
