No Ice needed
I ordered this car fridge with some hesitation, not knowing what to really expect as to cooling and freezing. The first and only trip was from MI to FL a couple of weeks ago. Had I known how well the freezer compartment worked, I would have filled it up with more salmon. I had the temp down to 15 degrees ... which also kept the fridge compartment around 45ish (cold enough for the cheese). At the hotel stops (2), I did take the unit inside to plug it in (wasn't sure what the temp increase would be if left unplugged overnight in the vehicle). And, no ice to worry about. So far I'm very happy with it.

not a dual function fridge/freezer
Its...okay? works fine. the small compartment seems silly- stays about room temp- maybe a few degrees cooler- but not fridge temperature. what's the point? I had another electric cooler that had a freezer section and fridge section- it was great...until it quit working. Replaced it with this, but regret it- the small section is a total waste of space.

Duel zone what a lie
This says duel zone with 1 control. No it does not. Only 1 side gets cold. Smaller side does not. And you can't make it cooler.

Only 32 quarts with temperature control
I was a more than a little disappointed that only the larger compartment is temperature controlled (about 32 quarts of controlled volume). The small compartment is not controlled, but it is monitored. When the main compartment is set at 35 F, the small compartment is about 55 F. The 20 offset seems consistent across a few set points. I did an experiment with adding a four thin ice pack to the small compartment and the temperature dropped from 55 to 40 so pre cooled beverages may be OK, but nothing that will spoil. On the upside it’s quite and cools quickly. I’m running an experiment with a battery pack so more to follow. Despite the smaller controlled volume, it is still seems like a good value compared to 32 quart refrigerators. I’m going with a 4 star because it seems well made and it’s the right out side dimensions for my vehicle.

Won’t run on 12v with engine off
An effective freezer-refrigerator, however the processor has code that shuts down the system if voltage drops AT ALL - a good idea in principle - “don’t let the fridge killThe vehicle Battery” Except I tried to use it in an RV with 330 ah capacity and it still shuts down as Soon as the charging stops and there is ANY voltage dropAgain - overall a good unit but very sensitive to any voltage drop (even well above 12v)
