[Update 6/1/25] I've been using the charger for over 4 months now. My initial review impressions still stand. The charger has been completely reliable. I've had no issues with it at all. I mostly schedule charging using either the app or the buttons on the device to charge overnight to take advantage of my utility company's day/night rate. The app continues to be basic and the historical energy use data doesn't always display correctly. I really wish they could fix that. [Original review 1/18/25] I decided to upgrade from the level 1 charger than was included with my car. After looking at MANY different chargers I decided on this one as my first level 2 charger. NO REGRETS. This charger does everything I could want at a reasonable price. I only use it in my garage and don't intend to travel with it. I've used it most days for over a month, and it's been completely reliable. The build quality is very good and includes wall mounts and a travel bag. I like that the charging rate (amps) is adjustable. My car can handle up to 32A but if I'm not in a rush I charge at 16A. I don't know the science, but I thought it might be easier on the battery to charge at lower rates. I even tried 12A once and that worked fine. Remember that it's your car (not this device) that determines the actual charge rate (up to the max set by this device) and the car will not always charge at the rate you set. For example, as the battery gets closer to full the car will reduce the charging rate. So, don't be surprised if the charging rates vary somewhat. That's by design. I like that it's integrated with the Smart Life app which I've already been using to control other smart devices in my house. The two main uses I was looking for was (1) View real-time charging data and (2) track my energy usage over periods of time. It does those two things to my satisfaction but overall, the app does feel a little basic. I've also noticed that in the "daily" energy use view it can sometimes be missing data for some days. The monthly and yearly views seem to work though. So, the app could use some improvements, but it has all the basics covered. I've been impressed with the customer service from AIMILER. I emailed them before purchase, and they responded within a day or two. I emailed a few more times after purchase, and they again responded quickly with helpful and courteous responses. I was impressed by this given how customer service seems to have degraded so much in general these days. The warranty is also impressive at 3 years. There is a printed card included that tells you to email them at [email protected] and they will extend the warranty an additional 6 months. As long as the company stays around my impression is they will stand behind their product given how they handled my emails but hopefully I'll never need to find out. In summary, I'm very pleased with the charger so far. As long as it remains reliable, I'll remain a happy customer.

So I bought this charger because I recently purchased my first EV, a 2021 Chevy Bolt EV. I already had a 240V outlet in my garage for a welding machine I own. I bought an adapter for the outlet so I could use this charger and installed it in around 20 minutes with the help of a stud finder. It works surprisingly well! I was skeptical because of the low price but this is a decent level 2 EVSE, it charges the bolt at around 7 kw so my car has a full battery every day. I haven’t even needed to use public charging yet and I’m 2 weeks in. Definitely recommend if anyone is looking for a decent level 2 home charging station!!! It also comes with an app to monitor charging from anywhere and the cable is quite long!

Installed this charger for a plug-in hybrid car. Working well. It is plugged in to a 220v socket and charges the car more than 3 times faster than the oem 110v charger that came with car. Been in use for over 6 months now, and very happy with it. I don't use any of the wifi / apps - just plug in and charge when home. Happy with it for the money and quality.

Right out of the box, I liked this charger. It looks extremely well-made, and it started charging as soon as I plugged it in. Helpful tip: the buttons on the charger are extremely sensitive, they just take a feather-light touch. (I was pushing too hard initially, like I was trying to depress a physical button, and they were not responding properly.) But I was having trouble getting the iPhone app to connect to the charger… No matter what I did the app would not recognize the charger. The company claims in its literature, that they will take care of you and solve any problem by contacting customer service. This is not hyperbole: they do exactly that! My customer service guy was a native Chinese speaker, named Nick, who went above and beyond to try and help me connect to the phone app. He went back-and-forth, first communicating with me, and then with his engineers, and then back to me. This went on for some time. He would suggest something, then I would try it. But nothing was working. If you read the snippet of dialog below you'll get the flavor of the interactions, and the final result: "Hello Rod, Below is the detailed operation steps from my engineers: First, please plug in lightning code, pull out the charging gun, pressed both buttons on the charger until it enters into wifi reset. Re-boot the ev charger, unplug the lightning code and plug in again. Open your smartphone, confirm the connected wifi is 2.4Ghz, then open the APP, add your device. You can have try with this step. Sincerely, Nick" I wrote back: "OK, we are having an English translation problem. What is the lightning code? Is it the charger? That's the only thing that can be plugged in. But if that is the case, then why does step 2 say, reboot, the charger? The only way to reboot it is to unplug it and plug it in again. So step 2 doesn't make any sense. " Nick replied: "Hello My Friend, Thank you for your response! Yeah, it is my translation problem. What I mean is to unplug it after do the wifi reset. Below is the conclusion from my engineers: Unplug the ev charger after doing the wifi reset, then plug in and open the APP. If it still doesn't work, you may need to disassemble the device and re-flash the APP operation program.(It should be returned back to us) Dear, please have a try with the above solutions: If the solution 1 still doesn't work: All in all, you can keep the former product. If you need APP, you can give me your amazon order ID and address, we can send you a new replacement. If you don't need APP and can accept the ev charger without APP, we can give you 40USD refund as a compensation. Sincerely sorry for wasting your time! Have a hood weekend! Best regards, Nick" Yep, they decided they were going to send out a brand new charger! And that is exactly what they did. I got the new charger yesterday, and it connected right away to the phone app. I get to keep the old charger to take with me when I travel, if I want. It still works just fine. You just can't get better customer service than that!. They lost a bunch of money on my sale, but I hope they get it back through people reading this review and ordering from them. Despite the cultural and language differences, I felt a real connection with my customer service guy, and there is no doubt in my mind that his desire to help was sincere.

Love the affordability and lightness of this charger. Got it as a travel charger for my VW ID.4. I have a 48V charger at home but wanted one I could travel with and this was great. Comes with a carrying case and the 32V is perfectly fine for on the go. I use it frequently at my parents house and just let it charge overnight when I need a full charge. It was easy to install. Touch interface is very easy to use. My only nit is the app to connect requires wifi and my parents live in the middle of no where and use 5G hot spots. This will not allow you to connect using 5G wifi. It requires a cable/fiber provided wifi service so I was never able to use the app. Other locations I've used it while on the road also don't have wifi at all so can't connect. Would have loved a Bluetooth option but it functions fine without the app.

Mounted on the wall, just inside the garage door. The app allows you to schedule and time charges during lower rate periods. Works well and is of good quality. Highly recommended.

Wow! This charger works great! It's super easy to use and charged my Ioniq 5 from 60% to 100% in about 4 1/2 hours. I'd stack this Level 2 charger up against any in its class. And, it arrived the day after I ordered it, which was quite convenient.
