my parents blender pitcher literally cracked and they were gonna freak out bc vitamix stuff is so expensive but i found this one and it fits our 5200 perfectly. i was scared it wouldnt work bc its a replacement and not the fancy brand name one but it honestly looks and works exactly the same. i made a smoothie in it this morning and it didnt leak or make any weird noises which is a total win. its huge too like 64oz so i can make enough for everyone without doing it twice. if your vitamix pitcher is gross or broken just get this instead of spending a billion dollars on a new one bc it literally does the same thing and even has a 5 year warranty which is crazy for the price.

Seemed to be a good aftermarket choice but now it creates a lot of rusty dust. I’m not sure what is causing it. I’m going to bite the bullet and but the vitamix brand.

It looks just like the official one that it’s replacing except for the stainless steel fixture that holds the blade. The official one was coated in a black rubberized material. There might be some a slight difference in the blade angles as I notice the vortex isn’t quite as good as the original at bringing in last few pieces of frozen fruit that might be swirling around as you blend up your smoothie.

While I appreciate now having a blender jar that isn't stained, it's clear that this one doesn't have the quality of the one that came with my blender. It is visibly thinner, both the jar and the lid. More importantly, the bolt that holds the blade down keeps coming loose. My husband had to use vise grip pliers to brace the bottom then use pliers to tighten the bolt. It has held steady since he did this. I wish this jar had had the same quality as the original. It seems like it should cost half as much.
