Soft clear water
Went from a two system setup to just this one. Replaced a softener and stand alone iron remover to this unit. If you have heavy iron you will absolutely have to program it to dial in it's effectiveness. After you do that, you will enjoy clear soft water that tastes good. I do have a big blue sediment filter in line before the softener and a big blue charcoal in line after the softener. Not necessary, but helps with taste. More of a bottle water taste with the charcoal. Install was easy, unit is solid and works as advertised. My neighbors have also bought the same unit after seeing the results of mine. We have heavy iron and hard water in our area.

No More Sulfur Smell and No Red Stains
I didnt know much about softeners, until I did a little research, and decided to pull the trigger on this one. Am I glad I did. Works fantastic, water hardness at the tap went from 6 to 0 after 1 break in regeneration cycle. Sulfur smell also completely disappeared. Great product, with very good online instructions for installing the unit, and programming the valve. Now my brother in law wants one. Very Happy so far....

Iron filter doesn’t work at all
I HATE this water softener. It claims that it is a combo water softener and iron filter but it does absolutely nothing for the iron content in my water. I use iron specific salt and still nothing. My sister lives on the same street as me and has a water softener and separate iron filter and has no problems so I know the problems with my water are caused by this softener not doing its job. It also comes completely disassembled. Thankfully my dad was able to put it together but if you don’t have someone handy to help you you may have to pay someone to put it together. At $600 I expected higher quality and better functionality. I guess I’m stuck with orange water until I can afford to buy a second water softener that actually works.

Excellent customer service
Purchased the 48k grain iron pro for our new home. Unit works great. The provided install instructions cover the bare minimum so I'd recommend watching Aplus water LLC's install videos on YouTube before you get started. They explain a lot of the settings and screen acronyms very well. After I got it installed and running, I had a few more questions. I called Aplus water and left a message. I received a call back in a very short time from Tony and he was knowledgeable and helpful. He helped me dial in a few settings and now it's all set.

Just awesome. My old softener was going bad and started ...
Just awesome. My old softener was going bad and started to leak. We looked at expensive systems like Pelican and Kinetico. They wanted almost $5k for a full set up including softener and iron filter. After reading a bunch of reviews and Youtube vids, I decided to give this thing a whirl and save over $4k. Really glad I did.Set up was pretty easy, but I bought the shark bite water softener hoses to avoid having to do any soldering. Do yourself a favor and follow the youtube install vids for this. Super easy. Water quality is great and we actually have noticed higher water pressure. Some people complained about having to load the softener tank with resin, but I don't know why. It comes with a funnel and you just pour it in. It's like sand. Mine came with gravel too, so just make sure you pour that in first. All in all, really happy with this. Had a plumber buddy tell me this is basically the same setup as the more expensive systems and should easily last 10-15 years. The point of these things is to soften the water and remove the iron. This certainly did that. Since I could buy 8 of these for the price of the more expensive systems and it gives the same result anyway, why waste your money? Just get it and thank me later.

Works good.
First I only received the tank, but they sent out a new unit and it works great so far. It's been in for a couple months and haven't had an issue.

Great shipping, easy install, soft water... Yeah!
Replaced an old softener with this one. I had heard good things about the control valve. The whole unit is good stuff, heavy duty, solid install. I'm happy.

price good, Support iffy
We purchased this softener in Nov. 2020. It worked fine until Oct. 2023. At this time there was an issue with smelly water, hard water, and water pressure. We did several cycles in a row to flush the resin tank of hopefully all iron and hardness. Now it is January 20, 2024 and it appears to be having issues again. I have purchased some iron out additive in addition to purchasing red out salt. It has helped some, but needs done every 3 weeks. I assume the resin in the softener is shot, but it is below zero here, so n repairs will be done until March. I had really hoped this would last for 5 years, when I would then just purchase a new one, instead of repairing the old one. I know we have very bad water. I think when I buy a new softener, I want one that I can have regenerate every 5 days instead of one that measures the gallons of water used. These Fleck heads are difficult to program. And when the softener is not in a convenient well lit area, it is hard to work on them. I tell when mine is not working properly by the hard smell of the water and the water pressure in the shower. Also, I had spots on the clean laundry that looked like cooking oil spatter. The shipping was fast and the one I bought for my daughter's house is working well. She does not have the iron issues that we have where she lives. If you have iron issues, and are wealthy. I would recommend getting an iron filter tank and a softener tank installed in tandem by a professional. This is not a hubby can do it project. My husband prides himself on rebuilding machines, but the softener issues always leave him stumped.
