Most mobile phone holders for cars are awkward to install and messy to use or they partially block important air vents or they use those silly sticky thingies that don't hold for very long. This phone holder is easy to install and then operates like a clam (which should have been its name). You lift up the lid, pop in your phone and you are ready for action. Drawbacks: (1) it will only hold the mobile in a horizontal (landscape) position unless the phone was very small, (2) it does need to be be glued down using the very effective sticky pad on its base, (3) does need to stick to a flat surface and only part of the dashboard might be flat, (4) in all likelihood you will want to plug in the power cable especially if using GPS on the phone. Positives: (1) design fits in well with most dashboards, (2) very simple to use even if leaving the mobile's cover in place, (3) low profile in both the closed and open positions, (4) well made, (5) reasonable price. Would I buy it again if I changed my car? Most definitely!

Simple easy to use the best phone holder I've used simplicity at its best

Ordered this because I wanted something to hold either my phone or my satnav. I recently changed my car and the new one doesn't have any flat surfaces on the dashboard, except right up against the windscreen, which is not practicable for my satnav (I don't like sticking the old satnav holder to the windscreen because it always falls off and it's too tall to fit under the curve of the glass). Lately, I've been using what3words more than my satnav, which I have to access via the app on my phone, so I wanted something to hold it in landscape mode. This works really well and also holds the heavier satnav, so it's a win-win. The sticky base doesn't really adhere firmly to the dashboard, because, as I say, it has no accessible flat surfaces, but it does stay in place when driving, so it sticks just enough to keep it steady. All in all, for the price, it's brilliant.

I've had this item for several years, and the build quality is showing to be fantastic, and it holds the phone immaculately perfect. It mounts on the dashboard as if there were super glue underneath it, and yet it's very easy to move around the dashboard; it's very stable with no issues at all. It's totally and utterly easy to remove from one part of the dashboard to another part or into another car.

Brilliant product may be a lot bigger than it needs to be and sadly it doesn’t fit very well in my mini Cooper. It’s a little bit bulky. I don’t know why it needs to be that big it works as it should but it’s probably not good for a smaller car.

Amazingly simple, yet effective design. I’ve now bought 2 of these as I recently changed my car. They fit any size phone I have tried to put in this holder. My daughters all have different phones and their phones fit too. I have an iPhone 12 max pro, and it handles this phone easily. It’s a clamshell design that opens up as big as you’ll need. Has soft grippy foam inside to keep the phone secure. The phone won’t move around or fall out. When it’s closed it is about 10mm tall (guessing) so is barely noticeable. It has a sticky pad that you can use to hold it firmly in place, but it does actually have a fairly grippy base, so you may find you don’t even need the much more sticky pad.

Brilliant definitely recommend. Alot of reviews saying it doesn't stick well and falls off so I delayed this review and tried it out first for a few days but is well stuck on. I cleaned the area first and dried it and then left it for 24 hours before using it and i haven't had any problems definitely brilliant my husband even thinks its a good job and that's saying something 😅 my brother and cousin in law even wants 1 as they think its a good job so iv ordered 2 more. Definitely buy

Fit for my purpose, a fair price. Time will tell on the adhesion to the dashboard. My iPhone fits in perfectly.
