Hirbo EB-FC57 Asian Style 13 in 1 Multifunctional 5-Liter Rice Cooker with Advanced 3D Dynamic Heating, Reheat and Preset Function

This is really the BEST rice cooker that I have ever had although I've only received recently and have only cooked a couple of meals in it using white rice and brown rice. The operation is very simple. I just put rice and water into the pot, close the lid, and push the button "Cook", and then "Start". No adjust of cooking time was even needed. It cooks, and then keeps warm. The rice tastes really good. I love the ability to cook rice and steam dumplings or vegetables at the same time. LOL. The steam from the rice just cooks the dumplings and vegetables all at the same time, saving energy. Steaming is also very healthy and clean, helping me avoid frying or cooking my meats in oil at all. But I have to say, I am going to try the "Fry" function one day as well. Also thinking about using the yogurt function. Excellent cooker. Love it.

I have only had this for a short while but this little unit has exceeded expectations. Rice is perfectly cooked provided that you get the ratios correct and then it is held at serving temperature until you are ready for it. I have tried the fry and steam settings and they both work well. Because of tight seal, steaming is quick. I deliberately left rice in overnight to see what would happen. The rice was perfectly held at exactly 140 degrees (above the danger zone). There was some rice that dried out on the bottom of the insert but the rest was still perfect. The insert cleans easily with just warm water and a dish rag and the dried rice falls right off of the nonstick surface. Pretty much a fool proof device. Yes the instructions are not good but this is pretty darn easy to figure out.

Worked great for a few months and then the latch that holds the top lid closed broke. I tried to put it back but it keeps popping out. This rice cooker is junk. If you want to throw away your 100 bucks, go ahead and buy this garbage. Otherwise, look somewhere else. Very disappointed with this item and cant' even return it anymore. Great rice! I was surprised that it actually can also cook a cake. Mix the boxed batter, throw in in...and boom, a cake! Like everyone says..."User Manual Sucks!" I downloaded a Zojirushi model # NS-TSC18 manual, and between the 2, I got a better idea of what to do. It would not take much to write a better manual. If China can knock-off products, it should not take much to write a decent manual. The manual says fry fish at 25 minutes? What it does NOT say is : Is that deep-fry? lid open or closed? or just surface fried?...sounds too dangerous to attempt without better instructions. For now, it is a great rice cooker at a great price...with experimentation...you are on your own. Someone should created a blog to share recipes and experiences of cooking with the other settings since times are adjustable for most settings....Good Luck. Would be 5 stars for a manual/cookbook

We had relatively cheap cooker before, but they do not work well for Jasmine rice (the type Asians eat all time) and brown rice (our healthy choice). I was very skeptical of this rice cooker model at first because a cooker with all these features usually costs almost a lot. But I decided to give this a shot because it seemed right based on the descriptions. The packaging arrived quickly. At the first impression, the packing was done really well - it has three layers: out box, color box, and specially designed Styrofoam padding. The plastic used for the rice cooker is nice and the design is very pleasing. As soon as I open the lid of the cooker, I see the steaming device. And I noticed that, underneath the lid, there is an removable overflow proof lid --- it is a great feature when it comes to cleaning. Since we received it, we have used it to cook rice every meal using both Jasmine rice and brown rice. The rice tastes really good. I want to specially mention the "Preset" function. I put rice and water in the pot around 10 pm, and set the cooker to start to cook 8 hr later. When I wake up in the morning, the cooker had already cooker the rice that is ready for breakfast. As for the other other functions, I have tried steam, and soup. They all worked out very well. And I intend to continue to explore this rice cooker. By writing this review, I am recommending this cooker to anyone who come across this. For this price, this cooker really exceeds my expectation. I was a really good buy for me and I am happy.

This cooker came promptly in a cube box with a lot of helpful information around it. It cooks all sorts of other things like rice, vegetable, soup, and more. It looks like to be my best friend. I cook and eat rice almost three times a day. To make rice, I put raw rice into the inner pot using the measuring cup first. Then I poured water, rinsed it enough to clean rice, and put fresh water up to the water level written inside the inner pot. Then I simply put the pot into the rice cooker, closed the lid, turned it on, and pressed a button. You can also press on the Preset to schedule your meal for up to many hours hours. This feature was handy when I set it in the morning, went to work, and came back to find this cooker finishing up cooking my rice. I found that the cooked rice is puffy and soft. There are many cheaper alternatives with a single switch that can cook or keep warm. This rice cooker can also keep warm, but it can also delay up to may hours hours, which is perfect to get it ready for coming home after work or for get it ready in the morning before going to bed. I’ve tried out a few rice cooker myself, and this works perfectly to prepare some steamy rice that’s just right. This praise is coming from an Asian housewife grew up eating rice everyday, and are cooking for three young kids every day! I has also tried several time to steam vegetables. This function works like a charm. Steamed food is very fresh, clean, healthy. I am looking forward to trying many other functions in the near future. Finally, the price for such a nice cooker is unbelievable is very good
