Well made, fits others headphone models too, has a nice loop to hang the headphones!
I bought two and liked them enough that I'm buying 4 more (to cover all of my headphones.) They fit perfectly on my DT-770 and DT-990, obviously -- but they also fit on my Sennheiser HD 620s, Sony MDR-7506, and Audio Technica ATH-M50x. The fitting is slightly loose on my Sennheiser HD6XX but I'm using it anyway so they all match. But the others fit perfectly. They do seem a little pricey, but they're well made. Let me describe: There's a thin layer of breathable foam-like material, which adds a wee bit of cushioning, and than outside of that is the dense fishnet covering. Perfect. MOST headphone bands will eventually flake, and the density of that foam layer should catch the flakes and add life to your headphone band before you have to replace it. To be clear, this product is meant to go OVER your headband -- NOT replace the headband(!). But back to the build quality --- the zipper mechanism feels good and has a standard zipper locking mechanism. Turn it straight up to zip, and lay it flat to lock. This prevents it from unzipping itself. But here's the cool thing I didn't notice until I got it -- see that loop at the top? That allows you to hang your headphone on a bar, on a hook, whatever. But the magic is it distributes the weight across the whole headband so it's not causing excess pressure at a focused point on the headband, like some headphone hangers cause! This, too, adds to the lifespan of your headband. So for me the value is that I believe these will give me another 1-2 years of headband life... But they seem well made, so I believe they will last for years and multiple headband replacements! Given the price of headband replacements, I think these will pay for themselves eventually. PS. Be sure when you put it on to put it so the loop is toward the back of the headphone when you wear it. It just looks better that way.

Perfect Solution!
This is a great product. Is your Byerdynamic outer headband material disintegrating? It's like it's made of tissue paper. Don't buy a whole new headband. I was unable to find a suitable one and then I came across this gem. If the padding of your headband is ok, just cover the whole thing with with this zip-on COVER, It is a COVER, not a headband. It fits my DT990 perfectly and the original padding feels exactly the same. It's a perfect solution. Other reviews that state the pictures are misleading are simply off base. I looked at the picture and immediately knew exactly what it is.

Amazing addition to the headset
If you’ve had your DT990s a while and the foam on the top has started to show too much wear and tear this is a simple fix. Love the look. The feel takes a few minutes to get used to but now I can’t imagine the headset without it.

Fits Sennheiser headphones too
I actually used this to cover the headband of my Sennheiser hd280 pro headphones, which fit perfectly. The original headband was peeling (I kept the headphones stored for months without use, so I knew they had to go) so I bought a headband foam cushion with the black silky material and used double sided tape to attach it. The DIMOST cover was the cherry on top by covering the bare headband cushions and is snug enough that it won’t move while wearing them. So, overall, I’m sure this cover can work and fit for a variety of headphones.

difficult to install/zip without damaging it. Once installed, it is fine.
only significant but small complaint is difficulty of installation. it is easy to start the zipper misaligned and difficult to reverse that mistake without damage. Make sure the zipper and bottom tabs are aligned perfectly before zipping. After using it for a week, everyday for an average of 10 hours each day, I feel like the headband is more comfortable, but that may be in relation to the old, tattered pleather I replaced. This netting should be stock, paired with the pleather, for comfort and durability. I would spend the extra $20 markup on my $180 purchase of these headphones if it was. The weakest link I see with it is the top ribbon for hanging them on a hook. I put a keyring on my ribbon because I hang the headphones on a bolt on my equipment rack and the bolt threads are abrasive/damaging over time. That bolt definitely messed up the stock pleather I had to replace. Now I have it protected AND hanging correctly/safely. I have had these headphones since 2020, Use them everyday as a full-time musician/producer, have removed and cleaned the ear muffs twice (soak oxyclean + hot water in a bowl), and the sound quality is still perfect, These Beyerdynamic Dt990 pro headphones are the best headphones I have ever heard in my life. Fantastic quality. They deserve this headband mesh upgrade.

Fits nice.

I can't use my headphones without this.
Look, without it, the leather starts to deteriorate and fall apart. So clearly this is better than default. It's padded, comfortable, and is incredibly easy to install. I have no complaints.

Just a cover no padding, Expensive.
Just a cover no padding. If your padding and cover is destroyed this is not what you need. You can get a replacement for the same money that has padding. If i would have realized this had no padding i would have just gotten the stock replacement.
