For cake mix it’s not bad. It’s very moist. If there is any thing neglect about the cake I would say it did rise like I thought it would. I made it in a 13 x 9 pan not the round cake pans. But the taste is there.

Mouthwatering!!! This is the most moist and delicious cake just by itself-no icing. My whole family is hooked. Love this cake mix and it doesn’t have all the bad ingredients like store bought brands.

This is so easy to make yet delicious. It has a rich taste and not overly sweet. Bob’s Red Mill products are high quality and relatively healthy. Yum.

Thus review is for the regular wheat flour Bob’s Yellow Cake mix. What consumers need to know and notice is that these ingredients are SO MUCH better than Pillsbury, Betty Crocker and Duncan Hines - there’s no artificial flavors or colors or preservatives or other junk. Plus there’s no genetically modified ingredients. The taste and texture is terrific and although not organic like Miss Jones’ vanilla cake mix it has better flavor, although you may want to add a teaspoon of vanilla or almond extract to boost the taste. So glad Bob’s Red Mill has some “non” gluten-free options! Yum!

This is the better of commercial cake mixes. It has kitchen ingredients. It is a bit salty tasting but that could have been how I used it. I tested its versatility, using it as a dump cake instead of a layer cake. The texture was fluffy and it was moist. It bakes nice. It’s a value for the cost.

One of the best mixes I have used. Cake is moist, less dense as most that are gluten free! Love that this is dairy free as well!

I've always used store-bought cake mix, but have decided to "clean up" my diet. So when my son wanted a cake for his birthday, I decided to see if I could find one without all the garbage. (I've also gone keto because of pre diabetes, so I didn't have flour and sugar on hand. I didn't want to go buy a bunch of ingredients I wasn't going to use again for a long time, and have them sitting in my pantry to attract bugs and take up space). Yes, this ain't cheap, but it's not loaded with seed oil/franken foods, so I decided to give it a try. Besides....he wanted lime-flavored cake for some reason....and "Betty Hines" don't make that. I switched out the water for milk, melted down a stick of butter instead of using oil, and added 1 tsp of Boyajian lime oil. The fact that I didn't need to haul out my old Kitchen Aid mixer was a plus, too. It's not as sweet as "Duncan Crocker", which we were fine with. The cake texture was wonderful, like a homemade from scratch cake. I topped it off with a cream cheese frosting, and my family gobbled it up! I'm not planning on making a lot of cakes in the future, but when I have to for family....this is my new choice! I'll have a great cake with not a lot of work, and I won't have to worry if the ingredients are fresh. Thanks to the fine people at Bob's for making a great product!!
