So it looks futuristic and the purple glow gives it purpose. But does it do what it says on the tin? Short answer: No. At least not in my UK household with UK mosquitoes. Bugs seem totally oblivious to the light and not in the slightest attracted. So I give this very low score indeed and certainly not worth the £10 spent. Maybe the LED wasn’t UV wavelength and maybe the mesh wasn’t functioning. I left totally let down by existing reviews for this gizmo.

This has worked well eradicating fruit flies, gnats and moths. Will probably work with bigger flying pests too such as wasps, blue bottles and green bottles as it gives a big shock (as my wife can attest!)

I brought 2 for my touring caravan and they are useless. Deserves zero stars.

Wanted to deal with the flies in my conservatory. This doesn’t work and has been useless. A waste of money.

The unit looks good but is quite weak! I think it only stuns flies and doesn’t kill them

The blue light was very very weak in daylight. You could barely see it, I put it right near flies. They went nowhere near it. I have returned this as it is not fit for purpose.
