Awesome Shoe Glue
I’ve been using this brand of glue in Orthotics and Prosthetics for 15 years. It works. I needed a small bottle to keep at the house for my own personal shoe repairs. Perfect little companion to fix my kiddos shoes. Shake before use. Can use thinner or acetone to decrease viscosity. Small brush welded to cap. Paint on a generous layer to both pieces. Allow to dry to release all fumes. Heat with heat gun. Apply carefully because it’s sticky! Follow these steps for easy repairs to soling of shoes, padding, etc. Works very well.

Product worked great at attaching a rubber sole to leather shoes
I bought this in order to attach rubber soles to a pair of leather shoes. It worked great at that and has excellent adhesion. Do work with this in a ventilated area, as the smell is quite strong and I hear it is not good to breathe in. Spread on both surfaces, let them dry a bit, and then I like to go over once again with a light coat and let that dry to be tacky. At that point, put the two together and apply pressure. For storage, I saw a recommendation that you can store this upside down to make it last longer, since it will prevent any air from getting to the glue and reacting with it. I then put this inside a cup to make sure if it does spill out, that it's caught.

Good brand of all purpose cement
Works just as well as Barge’s cement for certain applications, imo, but at half the cost. Strong odor, as is usual with these solvent based cements. If you’re going to be around it often, you might want to consider wearing a respirator and only using it in well ventilated areas

Saved my soles. And my wallet.
Hands down the best contact cement I've ever used. Make sure you give it just the right amount of setting time before bonding your materials. Practice first if possible. The edges can be a little finicky use adequate pressure and work around your piece. Allow a full day or 2 before putting item back into use. MY Tips: you can practice using an old leather belt. Just to get an idea of pressure, tackiness and glue application when dealing with edges. After gluing if it's a shoe I found it best to apply more in the heel and toe/ball of the foot area. And not so much where your arch would be. I also stand (no walking) in my shoes for 5 minutes after adhering them. Even if I glued only one. Having a damp lint free rag that's lint free on hand for edge cleanup. Don't use paper towels or anything that's colored. The solvents in the adhesive might transfer he color and lint to your shoe (been there, done that, not cool). *10/31/21 update. Still holding strong on weekly use. Although part of one boot toe is starting to pull away. I think it's more the leather shrunk than the adhesive bond failing.

Great adhesive to have around
Stinks to high heaven so be sure to use in a very well-ventilated area BUT this was absolutely perfect to repair the soles of my garden shoes that had peeled completely off, even despite not cleaning and preparing the soles to be glued. I just applied the cement to both the peeled off sole and the shoe bottom, waited for it to cure and then stuck the 2 sides together. Solid adhesion every millimeter. I also used this to glue a sheet of rubber to an old wood step stool (slick backing) and again, perfect solid adhesion. Love this stinky stuff.

This is only 4 ounces. Pay a couple of more dollars and get twice as much!!
I didn't realize this was only 4 oz and thought it was 8 oz as I have previously bought, though not from this seller. Otherwise, Master Glue is better than Barge. It doesn't pill up like Barge and is what I used when I used to make boots.

Get the right tool for the job.
I was applying a secondary rubber sole to my dress shoes, and read multiple reviews that suggest this rubber cement is the gold standard for cobblers. I see why. Having tried multiple different types of glues for other repairs throughout my life, this is the only one that gave me confidence it will actually work. Big warning: YOU MUST ACTUALLY FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS. Scuff then clean the surface before applying. Apply liberally, press hard (boy would a shoe anvil have been nice at this point, and let set for at least 24 hours.
