Food Grade, Made in USA & Working Great
This review is for Haynes Silicone Grease, Food Grade Sanitary Lubricant, Machine Lube, Prevent Valves and O-Rings from Sticking, 1-4oz Tube Silicone Grease HAYSG Tube Clear. Let me start off by saying this is a giant tube. I did not realize it was going to be this large of quantity. I only needed a tiny amount for some sink faucet gaskets I replaced to help them last longer. Since this was being used for potable water, I looked for something that was food grade and made in USA. This fit the requirements. I've had this applied for four months now on faucets that get used multiple times a day, and so far, everything is great.

Slip sliding away! Sorry Simon and Art.
The proper way to apply this excellent silicone grease is to place a little bit on the tip of your pinky finger. Hold it out as if you are an aristocrat drinking tea. Gently apply small amounts to the teeth of the closed zipper and some at base of the zipper foot. Gently run the zipper foot and open the zipper and then close it repeat several times and this will work excellent. I purchased a large tube because I have a lot of zippers for tents utility bags, boat covers and the test run was on an exterior vinyl garage. I am very pleased with this and it does not seem to create a mess. If I needed to I would buy another tube but this one is big enough to last me for the rest of my life

Haynes Silicone Grease
Easy to use. Saw this on YouTube as the recommended product to use for finishing my project. Was confused at the array of things at Loews and Home Depot so just decided to order this that he demonstrated. Worked great.

Inexpensive Alternative to Saeco Silicone Grease for Automatic Expresso Machines
I've been looking for a much less expensive alternative to the Saeco Silicone Grease and I've found it! I tried another food-rated grease that was non-silicone, petroleum based grease ("Petrol Gel"), but sadly the brewer performance was poor as compared to the original Saeco Silicone Grease. With the non-silicone petroleum grease, the coffee came out watery and coffee waste bin contained a watery sludge instead of dry pucks. Now this type of behavior could be caused a bad brew-group O-ring, but in my case, I did experiments switching between the Saeco Silicone grease and the non-silicone grease and correlation was 100%: With silicone grease: dry pucks, no watery coffee. With non-silicon grease: sludge coffee waste and watery coffee. Enter Haynes Food-Grade Silicone Grease. I just received a tube of this silicone grease and I'm happy to report that my Saeco machine is performing like new again: dry coffee waste pucks, and good non-watery coffee! I'm definitely sticking with this product for my Saeco machine from now on. The 4 oz tube is huge next to the tiny, 5 grams Saeco tube. Note the oz versus gram.

Perfect to lubricate the gasket seal for E61 espresso machines. Thin layer will do. Remember curve side’s up.
