Oh my goodness 😍
Damaged people recognise other damaged people. It’s like a club you don’t want a membership to. ⭐️Rating 5/5 🌶️ spice 2/5 Tropes Slow-burn Found family. Summer romance Tragic past of characters Synopsis: After the death of a loved one Beyah has no choice but to go and spend the summer with the father she barely knows, and his new family. With the only hope of getting through summer before college, Beyah isn’t looking for fun, crazy, summer days at the beach. And she’s definitely not looking for love. ~Book Review ~ This was by first ever book by Colleen hoover and it has been on my TBR list for ages! But I decided to read it on whim and I do don’t regret it at all! I loved the plot of the story, I loved Beyah and Samson. And the side characters were well written and adorable (especially pepper jack cheese) It’s definitely worth the hype and the read! 🌸🩷

Everything I expect from CoHo
Heart Bones grabbed me from the opening pages and never let me go. I fell hard for Beyah right from the start, it was even a bit shocking how quickly I forgot they were simply words on paper and how I felt her as if she was real. It was everything I expect from a book written by Colleen Hoover. It is a story of damaged people finding acceptance, it is about finding family, a new life… it is about a horrible past that you take with you, it is about trusting people and letting them in. I can’t tell you enough how heartfelt CoHo’s books are and how they rip my heart apart every time. This one’s was no different, I had it tough in those first pages but the best was yet to come. The writing was very addictive so I read this novel in double quick time. Heart Bones was an emotional read, if you hadn’t gathered it already, but I did feel more emotional throughout the story than at the end of the novel, which I’m not sure was meant to be. The ending was a bit rushed and I don’t know if I would have wanted it to follow a different path but I didn’t feel IT so much there. Still, the story is well worth reading and maybe I should just believe in fairytales more than I currently do. I can’t wait for my next read by this author!

samson & beyah had my heart from the start!!
a sweet YA/new adult romance read. beyah has been dealt a pretty rubbish hand at life, with a drug addict mother, a dad she barely knows/sees and lack of friends, she’s basically gone through life alone🥺 beyah seem to think that her and samson are worlds apart different, but they are so much similar than she thinks. i loved the slow reveal of the true beyah and samson and their secrets and past - they both are really like onions, lots of layers you have to peel back before the real them is revealed. my heart actually melted when he started cheering for her on the beach🥲🥺 spice wise this is very nice and mild, i really enjoyed it! it didn’t need the spice, it was really cute - samson and beyah are really cute! i really loved the main setting of summer and the beach! the whole aesthetic was so vivid in my head, and one of my favourite things in this world is watching the sun rise & set on the beach😍 i could almost smell the fresh sea air while reading it. i really like that all of coho’s books have a life lesson, the take home message in this is to not judge people by their upbringing, social status, wealth (or lack of) and situational circumstances - people do what they gotta do to survive. all coho books have some kind of plot twist but omg i did not see THAT coming at all😨 i was shook! i really would have liked an epilogue in this, just to see a little glimpse into their future; regardless of this i really enjoyed this read🥰 yet to find a coho book i don’t love!

Absolutely fantastic,
WOW! WOW! WOW! I can't believe this is the first book that I've read by this author, jezz I think I must have been living on the moon. This book is absolutely freaking fantastic and I couldn't put it down at all and it deserves 10 thousand stars. I was hooked right from the first chapter and the title is just perfection too. This is Beyah and Samson's story. Two people that have had such a crappy upbringing and a really tough start in life are completely drawn to each other and my heart bone totally breaks in half for both of them. They have both always done what they could to survive and when Beyah goes through another traumatic time she goes to stay with her father for the summer and this is when they both meet for the first time. This book will really have your emotions all over the place and you will really feel every single word on the page. The love that these two have is so pure, so real and so raw and is powerful enough to carry them both through. I loved the characters and the way that this author has written them, the reader can really connect with them and the story line flows throughout so great that I couldn't get enough of it. This book is one of the most raw and beautifully written stories that I have ever read. I really enjoyed reading this book and I can't wait to read more from this author in the future and I will definitely recommend this book to everyone.

Fantastic story!! 5+*
This is the first time I have read anything by this author... absolutely loved Heart Bones and have already downloaded Regretting You. These sorts of stories always get to you and Beyah and Sampson’s story is no exception... For all her nineteen years Beyah has known no different it’s been a constant struggle for survival with no one to rely but herself, as for her mother there has never been a mother daughter relationship to speak of only providing a tatty roof over her head was as good as it got but that came to an abrupt end. It comes as a relief that Beyah was even able to contact and go to live with her absent father and his new family I might add. Two worlds very different and Beyah struggles to adapt at first she’s angry and envious but not in a nasty way she thought her father never bothered to think about her but he did and she has no idea her mother kept everything for herself that her father had sent for Beyah. Trust was another issue for Beyah but again after realising her stepsister Sarah was genuine that too comes as a relief for many reasons. Then there is Samson! After a less than friendly introduction Beyah and Samson soon became kindred spirits and although Samson was supposedly rich it didn’t get in the way it was his sincerity and good honest nature that shone through and the connection Beyah and Samson shares is beautiful. However Samson does come across as a bit of a mystery there is a constant niggle but you don’t want to even go there as long as Beyah is happy that’s all that matters. There are so many touching moments throughout out and even more so as the storyline takes hold, there are some red flags but still you don’t want to face the reality of what’s to come. What started out as a very happy day and evening for both of them soon becomes something very different and not in a good way. With shock revelations you can only feel desperate for both Beyah and Samson... again it was survival that was the main factor here and it caught up with Samson. You had to fear the worst especially after Samson said good bye and told Beyah to peruse her dream, she was having none of it until her father had a talk with her. With Samson away for a while she may as well do what she was meant to do... why sit around. Four years later you can only hope that Beyah was right all along and as we wait with bated breath for Samson to appear will it be everything thing we’ve hoped for... Will Beyah get the reaction she was hoping for? It’s a lovely emotional well deserved ending for Beyah and Samson.!!

3.5⭐️ Sweet but needed more
I thought I was going to enjoy this a lot more than I did sadly! The cover is beautiful, and it was good so I’m glad I read it however I definitely think Colleen’s other books are a lot better. I just found the characters slightly boring and I thought the plot was underdeveloped and pacing was off: I needed more between the climax and then a 4 year time jump etc etc. Overall, it was a decent read but I have read better by CoHo.

A really easy read...
What can I say? It grabbed me from the get go! I couldn't stop reading. It isn't overly cheesy and has a big unexpected twist. I could picture the characters in the book in my mind and some of me felt like I was part of their journey. I was very upset for it to end. It would be incredible if there was a 2nd book to carry on where it ended!
