Great tool
I’m really liking using this simple tool. It works much better than trying to do this by hand with a utility knife. You still need to pay attention to the grain direction. You can get a hint if you’re going to have a problem if the cut starts to turn into a tear that wants to get ahead of the cutter. Best thing to do if that starts to happen is to stop and approach from the opposite direction. The cutters seem sharp and durable. And while I haven’t tried the plastic dual sided cutters, I think I’d prefer the control this tool provides.

Did a good job
For a small project like I had this tool worked great. I can't say how long the blade will last because I didn't use it much, under 20' of banding. Do a test to get the feel of it and it is a good buy.

Would recommend with caution
Life saving. However, it do leave a scratch from the screw.

Good for small jobs
Easy to use

Dulls very fast after using once.
Blade dulled after using on a 3 foot section. Worked great when sharp but dulls way too fast. I used on wood edging might work better on plastic edging.

Cuts edge banding very well
I'm very pleased with this trimmer. It cuts the edge banding overlap smoothly and quickly, without gouging the plywood, and I am able to see it all clearly in the process. As others have noted, the item may be throw-away once the blade has dulled at each of the four cutting grooves. I'm not sure how long that'll take though, and don't have a clear sense of it at this early stage. Otherwise, I'm pleased with it. UPDATE 1/2026: I’ve used this cutter for about a year and a half over a variety of projects. The blade is now starting to dull and will need replacement. I’ve found replacement blades for this tool here on Amazon. They are $9.99 for a pack of 4 and are sold by some seller called “NECAMOCU”. I haven’t ordered them yet, but it’s good to know that this trimmer doesn’t need to be thrown away simply because the blade is dull. I need to get some saw blades sharpened and may ask the sharpener to sharpen this blade as well.

Poor quality all around. Avoid
I don't know what this cuts but it doesn't cut veneer. Went in the trash..

Worked very well for me.
This made trimming my edge trim so much faster and cleaner. Nice little tool.

I purchased this single-sided edge banding cutter to reface my melamine cabinets and couldn’t be happier with the results. This tool offers far greater precision than double-sided cutters, allowing me to focus on one edge at a time without risking overcuts or uneven trims. It performed flawlessly, leaving a clean edge that required only a quick pass with a sanding pad for that professional finish. (Let’s be honest; you’d need to do that with any edge banding cutter.) Plus, it worked smoothly across different thicknesses of edge banding. This is an excellent choice if you’re looking for a reliable tool for detailed work like cabinet refacing or board banding.

Worked well, even as a novice, and much cheaper than other options! No complaints.

Only have used it for 1 project. Worked just as advertised. It has 4 blade sides to use, so if 1 gets dull just flip it around

My only complaint is that it dulled and started tearing the melamine edging about half way through my project. So I rotated the blade and was able to finish. No star deduction because the halfway point was probably at 600 feet of edging.

It was late, I was tired, and it wasn’t what I thought it was. For the price, I kept it because I will have a use for it down the road.
