DELIVERY WAS SUPER FAST,PACKAGING WAS SPOT ON (DAC AMP-fiio k11 and Apple music used) BUILT QUALITY is top notch even though it is plastic and metal mixed( headband and outer cover of both the drivers are metal) it is as light as feather but feels really sturdy and premium in hand and on head.The so called clamp force is almost non existential,it just fits any head real fine.The 2 cables provided with this can are good enough. i had opted for the pro plus option so it comes with a premium quality carry case and an extra set of ear pads(fabric/ mixing pads) SOUND QUALITY wise it is quite a significant leap from my existing headphone,Ath m50x.The hd 490 pro comes with the producing pads(velour) on.With these pads HD 490 pro sounded incredibly bassy(unexpected from an open back headphone) with slight roll off on both the highs and lows,although sounded very detailed.but my only gripe with these pads is the fact that it brings out too much bass,oftentimes the bass overwhelms the midrange which is so frustrating for me . With the fabric pads on the real quality of HD 490 pro comes out as it brings the midrange just a little more forward and controls the bass from being overwhelming and makes it very compact punchy tactile sort of bass. Details that comes out with these pads are unreal to me,(after using ATH m50x this feels like heaven.ath m50x is a no brainer option for closed back ones still now but it is too loud and fatiguing for long sessions of listening)for my ears mixing /fabric pad is the real deal here. Soundstage does feel a bit narrower than the expectation but still it feels open and large to me after using closed backs for years.imaging is spot on with hd 490 in both gaming and music. OVERALL GO FOR HD 490 BLINDLY AS IT OFFERS INCREDIBLY DETAILED MIDRANGE WITH PREMIUM QUALITY BASS,BUILT AND COMFORT. I WAS CONFUSED B/W HD 490 PRO/HIFIMAN EDITION XS/HD 660S2 EVEN THOUGH 660S2 OFFERS BEST MIDRANGE WITH FLAGSHIP QUALITY DRIVERS AND HIFIMAN EDITION XS OFFERS MASSIVE SOUNDSTAGE AND DETAILS WITH PLANER MAGNETIC DRIVERS(I COULD NOT PUT THIS ON PURE LUCK AS THE BUIL OF THIS HEADPHONE IS DUBIOUS )I CHOSE HD 490 FOR ITS COMFORT AND ALL ROUNDER PERFORMANCE AND ALSO I FOUND THIS ON OFFER AT AMAZON SO i JUST GRABBED THE DEAL. (a good quality amp dac is highly required to run this little beast.)

The HD490pro is really worthy, the Sennheiser sound signature is truly appreciated. The sound is very natural and the bass is smooth and powerful, the spatial audio is extremely good from apple music.

Sounds balanced and very professional, Highly recommended for Mixing and Mastering. Do not use it for recording tho

Me not being an audiophile, upgrading from Sony WF-1000 XM4 to HD 490 PRO is a huge leap. The sound stage, imaging and the clarity is a light year leap to me. Few songs are not as intimate as my earbuds did but I started to hear more details which I never expected to be there in a song which I had been listening for so many years. I researched a lot and ended up with this allrounder which excels in both sound and comfort. It EQ's so well and with Dolby Atmos on you will hear every foot steps clearly in gaming. Overall it's a great headphone to choose comparing others in it's range. Never doubt the plastic build it's steady and I sure believe will last longer.

Wonderful & worthy upgrade for me. I use Sennheiser 599 & beyerdynamic 770 pro & Koss porta pro. Skeptical about the upgrade but music quality is better than all three I own. Sennheiser is synonymous for comfort fit & quality. Music clarity is top class & surprise beautiful deep bass is an add-on which lacks generally in open back, not cheap overpowered bass. Bit pricey but got it for no cost emi. Wonderful purchase 😊
