Customer Service above and beyond the call
In advance of moving into a new house, I was looking for a magnetic water treatment device. I have lived in a hard water area most of my life and for the last 30 years have had a magnetic treatment device attached to the water main. I was totally happy with its effect. Rather than hard scale I benefited from soft powdery deposits which were easy to remove. I researched the options and I bought an iSpring ED2000S. I made the mistake of buying before taking a good look at the pipework in the new house, and try as I might, I struggled to fit the bands around the intricate and non-uniform mix of copper, brass and plastic pipes, awkwardly placed behind fitted kitchen cabinets. Consulting Nick at iSpring Technical Help he suggested it would be easier with wire wraps rather than brass bands. I was expecting to resolve the problem by buying the older ED2000 with wires rather than blades. I was truly impressed when Nick came to my assistance. iSpring went the extra mile to help me out, despite the root cause being my decision to buy before doing a detailed investigation of the installation site.

Ineffective
Having had the device in situ for a year, the annual filter change and cleaning of our Quooker tap was going to be the acid test. No change in level of scale build up from previous years as per the picture. The device has been an expensive waste of energy for a year and will be coming off today.

Very surprising
It actually does what it's supposed to - I know that sounds daft, but you hear so much hype about products and then they totally under deliver. NOTE: This is a conditioner so there will always be some mineral residue. It is sooo easy to clean off now. I removed our salt based water softener whilst we were renovating our house and didn't want to reinstall it because I didn't want salt water in our water. Prior to the renovation everything was as expected with the water we had coming out of the tap - slight water mark from drips and drops, but nothing hard to clean up. During the build though, I noticed that our kettle was building up a lot of hard limescale, which prompted me to look at other solutions. In all honesty I was completely sold on the looks of the unit rather than anything else. I figured the basic principle of how these units works is the same so why not have something in the plant room that looks good? Query: The only slight bump in the road on the installation, was a question around the orientation of the copper wrap in relation to the flow of water. In all diagrams the water comes in from the left and and the written instructions say that it works because the water hits a counterclockwise field generated by the current. Later in the manual you are also told that it doest matter which way the water flows - this is rather counterintuitive. I have reversed the wrap to keep the counterclockwise field in place and am happy to report that everything appears to be working fine one month in.

Regret purchasing
After 4 months of using, I can’t see any change to the water. Installed as per the instructions and all taps are way less than 50ft from the installation. Don’t waste your money and time on this product.
