Sturdy, better than cheaper alternatives
Bought a cheaper version of this and broke during first use. This one hasn’t let me down as of yet and has had a fair tension on it before. Good well made design that has withstood the abuse of a mechanic. Worth the money for quality

Rubbish, snapped on first use.
Fist time I went to use this it broke! Previously just used pliers and lock jaw pliers but cut my arms to bits. So bought these and a few months later needed to take a hose off the engine of my car. First time used, I squeezed the handle and the end which closes just snapped off and the thing's are useless. Should have sent them back to be honest, but lost my rag and threw them down the street and damaged them even more, so was sure they'd not be accepted for a refund as they looked like I'd damaged them. Don't loose your temper it just make things worse 🤦♂️. Anyway, I worked as an assistant anager in a garage chain. The lads regularly used this type of tool and they are handy, but not when they break on their first use. Don't waste your money on these and buy a decent pair.

Works a treat
Easy to use and well made, no more struggling trying to reach for awkward clips

Not that great
Although quite sturdy, and able to make it sit nicely on the clamp and open it up, the ratchet does not lock on the tightest pull, which is where the ratchet is most needed. Also, after the first use, the cable shroud is starting to kink. It's not bad value for money if you just want it to use once, but probably worth spending a bit more on a better one.
