This Darigold chocolate milk is something that we have, after a learning curve, ordered multiple cases of. It is that enjoyable. Other similar chocolate milks have artificial sweeteners that we have learned to avoid, even though one such available locally is also very tasty. Had not paid attention to the ingredients as who would think to when drinking chocolate milk very rarely -- & just as a treat. The unwanted ingredients made the taste practically addictive. Imagine our disappointment to find the aspartame in there. Avoided chocolate milk for quite a while after that. Then, as things can go -- when really perusing Amazon -- an unexpected discovery was made. This Darigold is very enjoyable, w/no "chalkiness" detected, and made with ALL SAFE INGREDIENTS, too ! This milk was excellent in flavor and texture. Great real chocolate flavor, rich, and consistent, no need to shake much. 25grams of clean protein without the added crap. I am happy they dont have to be refrigerated until opened. This is the best substitute for those protein shakes that are filled with garbage. They have a longer ingredient list filled with artificial sweeteners which hurt my stomach, leave a nasty taste in my mouth, and can contribute to health issues later on. Low/reduced sugar or natural sweetners your body doesn't metabolize should be used, especially in "health" drinks. But companies are too cheap. This company got it right. Sugar in moderation for healthy people is fine. I am glad they did not opt to do the same thing Fairlife is doing using acesulfame and sucralose. I stopped drinking their milk due to the stomach upset and bad after taste. I dont care if its cheaper.

better than it's plain whole milk counterpart! the regular whole milk has a bit of that like, shelf stable creamer taste? but this chocolate milk just tastes solely of chocolate milk with no off flavors! creamy without being too thick, and a great deal for so many in a pack imo! my favorite lactose free milk that doesn't leave my tummy in shambles, now even more convenient

Darigold Fit 14g Our teenage granddaughter is always in a rush during school mornings and usually skips breakfast which is never a good idea. After checking reviews online, I found Darigold and most all reviews stated, it did not taste chalky, but rather like chocolate milk while giving her 14g of protein. Getting her to use it was a big concern. She likes the taste and now takes one every morning out the door even when she has time for breakfast and is a great way to add much needed protein to her diet. She agrees, Darigold does not taste chalky, and it helps get her through to lunch. Price averages about $1.70 per 8 fluid oz bottle. Very reasonable.

Insane protein amount for just 25g for just 290 calories! The low-fat content is balanced out by the added whey leading to the actual taste and consistency of chocolate milk. These are insane value for money compared to protein shakes. They are also shelf stable and I keep backup cases to stock my fridge because they taste better chilled. I order 7 cases every 3 weeks (seriously!)

Excellent for need of protien, easy to carry HOWEVER I have been paying $30+ over the past 5 years and found at CostCo for $13 for the same number, the exact same package. Very disappointed as I am on a very tight budget. Small yet great # of protien, low in calories, can be cold or room temp, still tastes great. Only complaint, the price. Also no chalkiness like some of the protein drinks. I have never had a smell, either.
