This oil is stale. The chemical bonds in flax oil are very fragile so should be kept in a freezer. This oil is imported from Turkey and has travelled a long way. Buy flax oil locally.

Works very well to preserve lumber. Treatment for Charcuterie board. And as a bonus the leftover will be used in kitchen for cooking.

This is a nice oil with a light texture and slightly nutty flavor. The bottle is well sealed for safety and freshness.My wife has been using it on veggies and forced me to try some on green beans she’d cooked up in the pan. She sprinkled a small amount as she was finishing, tossed the beans in it, and then hit them with season salt. Really good. She also uses is in her dressing, but I can’t do vinegar so I just have to take her word for it that “it’s good!”I have been planning to use this on my cast iron Dutch oven but I keep putting off breaking it out this winter. I did use it on a pan, and it sealed very well.

I ordered this on 3 Jan and it arrived yesterday (22 Jan) -- possibly it came straight from Turkey.It was worth the wait -- packed with Omega-3 fatty acids, it has nothing funky (in fact nothing at all, other than flaxseeds) - a great substitute for other cooking oils. At about $14 (at the time of this review), it has a light nut-like smell, and a delicate nutty flavor that makes it unique and yummy in various dishes.Their cold-pressed extraction method preserves natural flavors and nutrients. Flaxseed oil is recommended for heart health, digestion, and skin and hair care -- and cooking! It also works well at seasoning cookware.As an aside, I also used the Fenugreek seeds from this company (Eastanbul) -- they were similarly fresh and delightful. They seem to run a solid operation at the company, judging from those two data points.

I used this to replace half of the olive oil I would usually use in a salad dressing and was happy with the results. The dressing tasted a little nuttier and I really enjoyed it more so than with just olive oil. I like the idea of swapping out my olive oil for this in dressings because I try to eat ground flax seeds for their health befits and often add them to my salad that way. Adding the flax seed oil is much more seamless than the ground flax seeds. I'm guessing it is not nutritionally equal but it is easier to incorporate into my diet than other versions of flax seed.
