Ben 💗
Not being a usual fan of this type of book I read the 1st and 2nd in this series on holiday as something easygoing sitting under an umbrella in the sun. I actually enjoyed the atmosphere of the series and found myself thinking about dream harbour and the residents who are believable and fun. Christmas Tree Farm, book 3, I read out of sequence as I could not order it overseas, reading books 4 (irs/archer) and book 5 (annie/mac) first. 3,4 and 5 are by far my favourite of the series. This, with detailed descriptions of the farm and Christmas events was done beautifully with a longer steamier section towards the end which felt well done. The running theme of possible treasure and Ben actually leaving, enriched the story with a depth I did not expect and has been my favourite. If you want a little escapism read this series - it’s fun, easy and entertaining.

Heart-warmingly good!
This is the third book in the Dream Harbor series and my favourite so far. Whilst I enjoyed the first book in the series, the second one was a bit of a miss for me but glad I went ahead and got this one as it was really enjoyable. Even though part of a series, they all read pretty well as standalones. Roles are reversed in this one with the female lead being the the grumpy one. Sorry men, but it is usually the men that are the grumpy ones but Ben is so sweet and is a bit baffled at Kira’s frosty reception to him. Even though Kira comes across as quite cold to start with, it doesn’t take long before she starts to thaw and sparks are certainly flying between the two. I loved the story being set in the immediate run up to Christmas and whilst it feels festive in parts, it isn’t over done but it did have me dreaming that I was snuggled up on the sofa reading it in front of a roaring open fire. In reality it was me sat in front of my electric one lol. It was good to meet up with the other residents readers have gotten to know in the previous books and it’s a wonderful community feel. The Christmas Tree Farm will get you not only in the festive mood but for romance also. It has a warm, cosy feel to it and is guaranteed to make you smile. As with the previous books, there is a bit of spice to it, which isn’t something I am used to in this genre of book as by the cover you definitely don’t get that vibe, but it’s more low key in this one than in the last one which I was pleased about. Either that or I am getting used to and enjoying those parts more! Heart-warmingly good!

Three stars!
⭐️⭐️⭐️.5 “You’re a big dog person, I take it.’ ‘They’re better than people in every way.” The Christmas Tree Farm is a cosy and spicy romance set in the charming town of Dream Harbor. Kira North has always disliked Christmas, which makes it all the...

Great book
I loved this book, you can read it as a stand alone book or as part of the series of books. It doesnot deminish the storyline in any way.

Lighthearted but fun
The third in the series and for me, far better than the second. Yes, it’s somewhat predictable, but sometimes that’s okay. I tend to read two books at the same time, so it’s nice to have something a little lighter when I’m reading something heavier. I guess when you pick up a book like this you know roughly what you’re going to get, but it’s how it’s done that matters and this one was done well. Lighthearted and fun!

Spicy Hallmark read!!
This was beautiful. I loved it so much! Once our Ice Queen Kira North thawed out. Well I lie. I loved it even when she was all Ice Queen! Her love interest is Bennett Ellis. His sister is current Dream Harbor resident Jeanie. We met her in Pumpkin Spice Café. Bennett is the sweetest man and he's so kind to everyone. I love his dogs Elizabeth, Pudgie and Odie (Garfield's Christmas is my favourite Christmas movie too Laurie). I loved all their names. Especially Odie's. The story between Kira and Ben was so beautifully written. They were both great characters. I also love the dogs. The other minor characters are great too. The book is written in third person from the perspectives of Kira and Ben. I love this town so much and it's such a pity that it's not a real place. Ah we can dare to dream. I really recommend this book and of course it's predecessors. I do suggest you read them in order. To avoid spoilers. I am so excited for The Strawberry Patch Pancake House and The Gingerbread Bakery (was a wee rumour).

Have yourself a spicy Christmas 🎄
REVIEW - THE CHRISTMAS TREE FARM BY LAURIE GILMORE BOOK #3 In the Dream Harbour series Another great installment from Laurie Gilmore. In an attempt to be fiercely independent, Kira has brought the Christmas tree farm to prove to herself and her family that she's capable of going it alone. This independence has brought isolation to Kira, until she crosses paths with Bennett, who possesses the "fix it" personality trait and in turn, receives a frosty reception from Kira. (If you've read the first two books, Bennett is Jeanie's brother, visiting for the holidays) Kira secretly likes the warmth from Bennett and he see's past her frosty exterior, but both attempt to push their feelings aside, due to their own relationship agenda. We see snippets of characters from previous books which is a nice addition to tie the stories together and see where dream harbour has taken them. This book is also considerably spicy! I did however, find this book a little repetitive and predictable. I did enjoy it, but it didn't grip me as much as the other two. It is still a great addition to the Dream Harbour series though. ⭐⭐⭐⭐ From me
