I replaced the ballast in my UV clarifier, when I realised that it had failed after only 3 years use, so I decided to go with a trusted brand, i.e. this one from Philips.It was not immediately clear from the listing, that it would be suitable for this purpose. However, by reading other reviews, I noted that people had purchased them, and were able to confirm that they were indeed suitable.As you might expect from Philips, it’s well designed, a good build quality, and somewhat smaller than the one I was replacing.Connection was very straightforward; I stripped 6mm of insulation from the connecting wires, then tinned the stranded ends, before inserting into the push-fit connectors. And, I’m pleased to say that it works perfectly.Recommended.

Bought this ballast not knowing if it would work with a 24w uv tube. I've only just fitted it but it's working , very pleased.
