Fit and charge capacity not perfect - but would buy again at price for very old laptop.
This battery pack is a little thicker than the OEM so it projects almost 1mm below the bottom of the laptop case. This isn't a big deal for me but might annoy someone who is resting it on their leg in shorts as the exposed edge of the battery is a bit sharp. It doesn't extend far enough to extend below the rubber feet on the laptop so on a hard flat surface the feet still provide friction to reduce it sliding around This battery seems to hold somewhat less charge that the original did when new but I can't quantify the amount and it seems to "leak down" somewhat more quickly when powered off but again I can't quantify the extent of this. However, it meets my needs -- allowing casual occasional use of a very old laptop that wouldn't be worth buying a "OEM" battery for.

Caveat Emptor
I finally got send my Mac to a shop to look at what happened after it died out a day after I installed this battery on a A1278/7,1 model. It shorted out the motherboard....a pricey repair so a cheap battery ended being a fortune. As a bonus the display is now pretty much fried. Caveat emptor.

Battery for Compaq Presario C700
Battery was at 34% when I got it. It drained pretty fast. I did charge it to 100% but have not tried it since. I will see. Good thing I got a adapter for it

My old laptop
My old laptops battery died a long time ago. And back then these batteries weren't cheap. They used to cost as much as my laptop. So I went without to one day I decided to maybe try and repair the battery by replacing the cells inside of it so as I'm going around looking I come across this the right battery for my laptop and the price can't be beat so instead of buying a bunch of little battery cells and spending the time soldering them together and hoping I get it right I bought this. And guess what it works great very good value for the money
