This is a very good replacement for the one that had eventually fell apart. Its a bit small in diameter in the hole, but if you use the cover its ok. Not expensive either for what you get.

Easy item to install, drill a pilot hole, followed by a 12mm drill bit. The item has three parts, the outer peephole section with a brass male screw thread, the inner chrome peephole section with female screw thread, the inner peephole cover plate. The outer peephole section pushes into the drilled hole from outside the door, the inner section is pushed into the drilled hole from inside the door, to mate and screw together. The inner section has a shoulder to grip against the inside of the door, with two notches allowing it to be tightened to the outer section, it is too wide for a flat blade screwdriver so I used the blade of a pallete knife. Before assembly the peephole cover plate is placed on the inner section tube, orientated so that it can swivel to cover the peephole.
