The packaging looks different than my last container. Is this just the new design?

I was confused too. What you are seeing is a slightly different product by the same manufacturer. It is 2.1 oz whereas I believe you are used to the rub that is 4.12. It also has 5% camphor and 2.8 % menthol whereas I believe you are used to 5.3% camphor and 2.8% menthol. I love both products, but you will notice a different consistency in this product: It has the consistency of coconut oil, not the vaseline type consistency of the green tin you are used to. That said, although it takes some warming in your hand to apply it, it produces the same results. I also notice that the green tin has "pain relieving ointment" as part of its description whereas this product does not. I hope this helps.

Can you put some up your nose

Yes, my family has been using this product for over 60 years. You can use it as a chest and neck rub, in and around the nose and sinuses, even sore muscles.
