All of the above!
For those who are in need of a vehicle that is sturdy, well designed, lightweight, versatile and easy to use....this is the best product you will find. Streight out of the box it is almost totally ready to use. It comes with everything you make require and parts are easy to assemble and adjustable to fit the person who is in the chair. And when it comes to storing it in the trunk or back of your SUV... you will find it extreemly lightweight. Just fold it and lift it up!

Great transporter chair
This chair is great for a smaller person (118 lbs.) to transport a larger person (165 lbs). It's lightweight for a wheel chair, but also seems study. It's manageable for a moderately strong woman to fold and lift into a vehicle. It folds up easily by pulling the seat straps and the foot rests are easy to take on and off. I am very happy with this purchase.

Amazing chair for price paid!
I had spent a good 16 hours, if not more, on the internet searching for a transport chair I could handle (lift) with my bad back, and was affordable. I am 77 with a diagnosis of spinal stenosis. There was no way I could port around, taking in and out of a car or van, a full size wheelchair. I do have a regular wheelchair and it weighs close to 50 pounds. Trying to lift this chair by myself in and out of my trunk or cargo area of my SUV was impossible for me to do without assistance. I travel fairly frequently both domestic and internationally and have a traveling companion with me to assist with pushing the chair. My traveling companion however, lives 1800 miles from me. I usually fly to meet him and we then leave from his house to destinations all over the world. My biggest challenge right now is getting to his house from mine. I live in the rural Midwest, and 110 miles from the closest airport I can fly out of. So I must have the ability to transport a chair from my house to the airport and in some cases going through 1 or 2 connecting airports, requiring me to claim my luggage and then recheck the luggage, at times including my checked chair, for the next leg of my trip. This was a daunting task while dealing with a 50 pound wheelchair. Ain’t going to happen where I am now at, with limited mobility and lifting strength. Along came the Medline Ultralight chair. When they say ultralight, 15 lbs., they are not kidding. Absolutely no problem for me to first getting the chair into my car and van and back out to check in at the airport, as well as a checked bag and carryon. After getting to an airport shuttle with chair and bags and arrive at the airport for check in, I easily open the chair and set it up for being pushed. With the chair aiding me to take my luggage and the chair to check in, it becomes an easy task to get to my flight from there. At the counter, I take my bags out of the chair, fold up the chair for transport and check it as luggage along with my bag. I then wait for my airline wheelchair assistance that takes me and my carryon to the gate. Once at my destination, using airline wheelchair assistance again, get wheeled to bag claim, meet my travel assistant at bag claim, pick up my checked bag and the chair and we head off to our next adventure. I cannot tell you how well this chair is constructed and so easy to unfold and fold up for transport. I am still amazed at the light weight of the chair, and yet how well constructed and sturdy it is at the same time. I was skeptical about how sturdy the chair may be, but it is solid as a rock and very comfortable to sit in. Nothing looks or feels cheap about this chair. After taking this chair out of the box it came in, it took no more then 10 minutes to have the chair completely put together and ready for transport use. I could not have been more pleased with the purchase of the Medline Ultralight transport chair. I am sure you will be pleased as well if you purchase this chair. And if you do, wishing you and your new chair happy travels.

The LIGHTEST weight chair you can find... A Complete Review
This is a complete review of the Medline Ultra Light Transport Wheelchair. I'm a daughter who was looking for a safe and reliable way to transport a sick parent who can't walk. My dad was finally coming home from the Hospital and I needed a lightweight wheelchair that my 70 year old mother could get in an out of the car herself.....IF YOU ARE IN THE SAME BOAT... READ THIS REVIEW..... I've done research, looked at varieties in medical supply stores and read through endless descriptions and reviews on Amazon. It was very overwhelming and hard to know which to choose.... at a time that was already stressful enough with my father being sick. I decided to write a thorough review of this wheelchair to help any other Daughters, sons, or people out there just looking to help a loved one. There are a lot of great transport wheelchairs out there, reliable, sturdy and can support 300lbs. However, these chairs range from 22-40lbs ! That is heavy for anyone to try to lift in and out of a trunk. My mom is the one pushing and lifting this wheelchair with my dad in it. She has herniated discs in her back, 2 artificial joints and barely gets around herself. So I needed the lightest weight chair so that SHE can lift it. And this wheelchair is it. It weighs on 14.5lbs and is the lightest chair you are going to find. Trust me, I've looked. The footrests come on and off and add an additional 2 pounds if you are using them. For my mom she will leave the footrests off, take the chair out of the trunk and then put them on so that the chair is lighter. The chair opens and closes very easily by pulling the straps on the seat. The chair itself does the job. It pushes my dad from the car into places for Dr appts, etc. That is what we needed this for. He is about 190lbs and it supports him. However due to the fact the chair is extremely lightweight, I would caution people to always brace the chair when someone sits in it. My dad is very weak and has a tendency to "plop" down into chairs. If someone isn't holding the chair, that momentum could tip it over even with the brakes locked. I'm sure the heavier weight chairs would handle this better, but again my dilemma was that it needed to be light enough for my mother to lift it. The width of the seat is 19". It fits my 6 foot tall Dad close. If you have a wider or larger person it may be more snug. Overall this chair does what I needed it to. It's not the sturdiest because of it being so lightweight so I would recommend using this chair with supervision just to transport a person from point A to B. Finally, if you do order this chair... make sure to inspect and try it out yourself out of the box. My chair had a loose bolt which didn't allow the back to properly lock. Luckily I found it and replaced it before my father sat in it or it could have been dangerous. I took off stars for that reason. This isn't the sturdiest or absolute best transport chair on the market. But it is the lightest one available and it did the job we needed it to for my family.
