Epson Perfection V39 II Color Photo and Document Flatbed Scanner with 4800 dpi Optical Resolution, Scan to Cloud, USB Power and High-Rise, Removable Lid

Good quality product, easy to use with the features I was looking for.

The scanner was simple to install onto my network and provides hi quality scanning of documents. I havent as yet used for scanning photos so cant comment on the resolution but if anything as good as documents then it will be excellent for saving those old photos.

The scanner will not work with newer power saving laptops, it can only be powered by a computer's USB port. I even tried using a powered USB adapter but this still wasn't powerful enough to work the scanner.

An easy scanner to set up on AppleMac system, v good scan quality, this V39 II is a replacement for my earlier (and excellent) V39. Quality of scans is discernibly better.

This scanner has packed up after 9 scans it will no connect to my Mac and has been problematic from day one. Now I cant return it as I've had it too long. I've had Epsom scanners befor with no problems.

Software operates only in th USA does not work in UK.

I previously bought a Canon LIDE 400 which had good reviews so I could archive some photographs. It was not capable using the Canon software of scanning at 4800 dpi as advertised (could only get 1200). So I opted for the Epson Perfection V39 II. I got it out of the box and was struck by how delicate it appeared. I thought it would not last long. I connected the single USB cable which is used to power the scanner (same as the Canon) and it was dead. The installation software could not detect it. I tried one of my own cables but same result. So I never got to see it I could acheive 4800dpi, let alone any other issues. Unfortunately without tripling my budget, there is not a lot of choice out there.

The scanner is easy to use . It scans very well. I use it to scan watercolour paintings and it works well except for some of the really subtle paintings that have a lot of white at the edge of the images. But it's a good size and does the job.

Nicht mein erster und auch nicht mein einzigster Flachbettscanner innerhalb der letzten 20 Jahre. Dafür daß der Scanner nur mit USB Energie gespeist wird ist er ziemlich schnell. Perfekt um Dokumente oder Fotos zu scannen in sehr guter Qualität. Wichtig ist daß man den Hinweis auf der Kurzanleitung als aller erstes befolgt und das Treiber- und Softwarepaket inkl. Anleitung auf dem Computer installiert. Danach gestaltet sich die Handhabung des Scanners denkbar einfach. Sehr platzsparend und schnell zur Hand wenn er gebraucht wird. Um aus Büchern oder Fotoalben zu scannen kann man sehr leicht die Abdeckung entfernen und auch später wieder anbringen. Benutzt man die "Epson Scan" Software kann man Fotos auch auflegen ohne sie gerade rücken zu müssen. Das übernimmt die Scansoftware zuverlässig.
