Get yourself a Goldfinch Flock
One of the best purchases I've made all year! Since I bought this house six years ago, I would see one pretty, bright yellow bird, and it would be gone. A friend told me what they were Goldfinches, and I could draw them in with the proper feeder. This was the recommended feeder on many sites, so I ordered it with a couple other types of feeders for random birds. I don't know why, maybe it's the popularity of the style, and the birds just.... know? I put it up late winter, with their favorite Nyjer seed, and by the time last spring came around, I have had large goldfinch flocks visit my yard twice a day and when a random birdie needs a snack. The other bird seed feeders I ordered needed to be replaced at the end of summer, but my goldfinch feeder has lasted and still looks near new. It is very easy to clean with a swish of soapy water, and it rinses completely clean. The birds love the perches, and I have had every perch full with goldfinches waiting on the side. I can guarantee this feeder is loved by goldfinches. I would recommend having reserves of Nyjer seed on hand, because they love it! And you will love having beautiful finches of all types to sit and watch. Happy feeding!

Very sturdy plastic better than most
This is my 3 or 4th Audobon finch feeder. I have tried many others including the cheap plastic yellow ones that squirrels destroy easily. On my first purchase of the Woodlink Audobon I was surprised it had high grade thick plastic that is thicker than most. And my Squirrels can't destroy it or enlarge the holes with their teeth that ruins the feeder. However a hungry bear did break the feeder to bits so beware it is not bear-rated. Has a sturdy top lid that fits into the tube which is genius ( that the bear did/could not break it) And the perches are thick plastic that the goldfinches seem to favor over the feeders with metal perches. I don't know why. Also the perches cam be easily removed for cleaning the tube. My finches love the Audobon. So do I.

The birds love it and still ok after 4 years
It works! The finches love it. It's mostly plastic so no rust. Yes, the tube can be cracked if you are rough with it, but I've had mine for 4 years now and it's still ok. Heavy rains can cause the seed to get wet, so monitor that and dump any wet seed. It's easy to clean if you remove the bottom screws and carefully twist to remove the perches. I'm considering another one after 4 years just because being out in the weather that long has made it a bit worn looking. Get a feed scoop with a built in funnel and sliding closer to make it really easy to fill.

Work in Progress
At under $20, this thistle feeder is priced reasonably. Build quality is moderate. Perfect size for hanging on a Shepard’s Hook and to prevent seed from molding prior to the bird’s eating it. I would disagree that this feeder will be easy to clean. You will need a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove 2 screws at the base. There should have been a twist off base. Also, the perches do not slide in and out easily to use a bottle brush for cleaning. Lastly, the top swivel where the roof pivots off for filling needed to be metal, not plastic, for durability.

Excellent feeder
A well designed and solidly built niger feeder. I have tried many niger feeders over the years and this one is the best by far. It is sturdy, easy to fill, and most important, keeps the seed dry in all but the most intense rain. It is also easy to disassemble for cleaning, should that become necessary. Most important, the birds love it!

Piece of JUNK
This Product is nothing but junk. It is made out of cheap plastic. The ports where the birds eat are made out of cheap plastic, instead of metal and the top and bottom covers are also made out of very cheap plastic, A strong wind will probably blow the the finch feeder away, it is very light and doesn't even weigh a pound. On the pictures that the company selling this product shows you can open the bottom of the feeder to clean it out. This is not true. False advertising. No way to open the bottom of the feeder. I wish I had never opened the box or I would send the product back. I should have bought the Kingsford metal finch feeder. It has a metal top and bottom and the feeding ports are metal. Also it is only $1.89 more I can't believe that Amazon would allow something like this to be on their website. I have been a prime member for a number of years and seriously thinking about cancelling my membership.

Looks good
Feeder looks good and easy to fill. Have it up only one week and the birds emptied it in a few days so they like it.

The finches love this feeder. We have had tons of gold finches which we absolutely love. Easy to fill and clean.

It will accommodate many birds.

As long as it is filled with the right mixture, this works very well for finches. The only problem is that as the birds eat the seed, the level decreases. Thus there is no way birds can feed at all the openings.

Package arrived on-time and in good condition. The feeder is a little smaller than I anticipated, but it's quite functional. The birds are already coming to it after a couple days. Handles 8 gold finches without a problem.

So very disappointed. Very thin plastic and it was cracked underneath one of the bottom holes. Also, the metal perch for the bottom holes was missing. It also didn't have the ability to screw in a seed tray. I would have returned it but I'm a senior and didn't want to go through all of that.
